Black Teen Shot 2

A woman convicted of brutally beating and stabbing a coworker to death at the Lululemon Athletica store in Bethesda last year was sentenced on Friday to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Norwood, 29 (picture above) was convicted in November of bludgeoning and stabbing 30-year-old Jayna Murray to death in the back room of the high-end yoga apparel store on Bethesda Row after they had finished a work shift together in March.

The exceptionally brutal murder – which left 331 identifiable wounds on Murray’s body – coupled with Norwood’s elaborate cover-up story of rape by masked white men grabbed headlines for months and made for a dramatic storyline that could rival many crime dramas.

CALL AL SHARPTON! The only explaination is bigotry!

Precisely and I’m making two points:

(1) the stupidity of the knee-jerk reaction that this Zimmerman/Martin was some sort of hate crime

and

(2) poking fun at Professor X who apparently lies awake sweating that the “white man” is going to send his blue-uniformed goons out to get him.

Obviously, out-of-control cops are a problem, but so are lightning strikes, and, statistically, you have a greater chance of getting struck by lighting than shot by a rogue cop.

In fact, if we get down to statistics, the overwhelming amount of crime is INTRA-racial (within a racial group).

If we look at INTER-racial crime, it’s overwhelmingly black-on-white:

 • Blacks are seven times more likely than people of other races to commit murder, and eight times more likely to commit robbery.

 • Blacks are 39 times more likely to commit a violent crime against whites then vice versa, and 136 times more likely to commit a robbery on whites than whites on blacks.

 • Forty-five percent of black crime is against whites, 43 against other blacks, and 10 percent against Hispanic.

In short, statistically, if Prof X is permitted to profile white cops, whites are far more within their rights to profile blacks.

Obviously, neither approach is fair or democratic.

They are both bigoted, in fact. Individuals should not be treated as groups.

And I think a big part of the real issue that is pissing off Prof X is he is a respectible guy, but unfortunately shares the skin color with roughly 50% of the criminals out there, and is unfairly treated as such.

I am not really sure how to solve that problem.

True…those statistics are very well known and used tirelessly as argument points for many a “race” discussion. Not that this is about those statistics themselves…but I always think beyond as to why those statistics are true(along with statistics on other groups as well)…mainly because I share that same skin color.

Me and X don’t necessarily agree on all things of this nature…but I damn sure understand where he is coming from.

Was a call made?

If not, that is not a FACT.

He could have easily pulled out his gun instead.
That is plausible. He went for his gun but when questioned he claims he went for his phone. I’m not saying it is what happened but it is a possibility that isn’t far-fetched and given how Zimmerman supposedly was the one screaming like a girl it wouldn’t be surprising if he was so scared of the hooded black man that he went for his weapon.
exactly…But I see people want to pretend that “pasty” is a racial slur suddenly as if the man is NOT half white.

Zimmerman is about as “brown” as any Italian I have seen.
Please quote anywhere where anyone called pasty a racial slur.
It was argued that it was a negative race remark. What is that but a racial slur?

Are we playing word games?

Flabby and pale is a positive? never called it a racial slur. Never even mentioned race.

I’m sorry, but could you explain why I need to refer to Zimmerman in a positive light?

Is that what you are doing?

Why do you suddenly need proof? There is no proof that he was looking for black guys either. Nor is it logically necessary for him to have suspected a non-black even if his motivation was not racially related.

Not sure if posted yet but the police report has been released

Why are people bringing up the previous burglaries if they hold no sway at all in why Trayvon was targeted to start with?

some people have as a reasonable possibility. In this case YOU brought it up as a fact that he was looking for black guys.

I haven’t brought up any burglaries nor have I claimed anything about who he was looking for or why.
