Black dominance in sport

creed, you’re starting another arguement that is basically irrelevant to the thread. Yes, in America we divide ourselves into different races. Yes, African American or “black” is considered a race.

ThumperTX: LMAO.

“I want to try and kick something. Move over whitey, I’ll take it from here.”

he could kick the ball all the way up I-35 to Dallas.

“And yet there are no world-class black swimmers.”

There are one of two i think, but yeah your point is right on.

200m olympic champion is white

silver in long jump is white

high jump there are lots of white people

all the throwing events there are lots of white people too

olympic lifters - mainly white - fastest movement in the world is getting under a snatch… also produces the best vertical leaps in the world and the fastest acceleration… olylifters are the fastest group of people in the world over 25 metres

powerlifters - mainly white… strongest fuckers in the world

what about WOMEN… why is it that black men seem to dominate sport more then women???

social conditioning!!!

Biceps did you know that blacks actually have a higher rate of obesity than white people.

CREED: About the pride thing, its more a question of merit. Since one has no work to do and cannot choose his parents, he has no merit being born himself. He could have just been born the other guy. Thats why I say you cannot take pride in your lineage. You can be proud of what you do with what you have though, but otherwise you were just lucky in the genetic lottery. Bottom line: merit, not luck.

The rest of the thread, scientifically speaking, is getting irritatingly predictible:

Joe points specific example. Hey, THIS guy did this
Bob replies with generality.Well, as a whole, these guys are better than that guy.

And the opposite.

Thats the easiest way to prevent yourself from truly reevaluating YOUR beliefs, by the way. Like one counter-example alone is the be-all-and-end-all answer…

When arguments start that way, it`s all downhill from there, too, by the way. Why not throw in politics, sex, religion and nationalism ? They all follow the same pattern.

Damn, at least compare same-sized samples! For consistency`s sake, comparing apples with apples and oranges with oranges would help alot.

But then again, maybe I expect too much. Belay that. Other T-Forum sections are more disciplined. Must be an Off-topic (accepted) thing.

I disagree, if Biceps is writing a paper and he is trying to state why blacks dominate sports and he specifies that he is talking about only running and jumping related sports as opposed to say golf, then he should also specify that ‘black’ in this case pertains to only people of west african origin. Because ‘black’ could also mean east african. And that group of people have a very different genetic makeup. Or else someone like myself would shoot down his arguement.

Have to agree with you on your point about inheritance being luck not merit. But many people feel ‘proud’ of their parents even though the have no input in their choosing, much like you can be ‘proud’ of your country when your input is inconsequential or nonexistant.

Definitely this thread has all the makings of a religious belief or sexual persuasions ‘discussion’ where a series of blinkered dogmatic opinions are tossed back and forth.
