BioSignature Tomorrow

I wonder when that BioSig thingy would reach Asia. I’m dying to get myself one.

Just curious, is the supplement program intended to correct the problem, so that you could then stop taking them and retain the state you’re in, or do you have to keep taking them, as long as all the other factors like diet, stress, etc are constant in your life to maintain the hormonal profile they provide? I’m not saying it won’t work, but rather it seems unsustainable long-term compared to trying to provide those nutrients in your diet and making the necessary lifestyle changes. It just strikes me as being the “Quick fix” solution, with Poliquin brand getting a big piece of the action.

Great thread. I have been really interested in this since thibs got such great results.

What ingredients are in the insulinplex and cardiosterol?

Vitamin E - one cap in the morning
L-Tyrosine - 3 caps in the morning, 3 at noon

At what dosage did they suggest you take these?

If you lowered BF%, and your hormonal profile remains the same then the reduction should be rather uniform through all your fatty areas. A decrease in your tricep deposit that is in excess of the decrease found throughout the rest of your body WOULD indicate just what you said, an increase in T levels.

If you just lowered bf everywhere, and the tricep to subscap ratio remained the same for instance…then you simply lowered your overal bodyfat, with no measurable change in your hormonal profile. ( I should say that this is a very simplified example from someone who’s still yearning to learn as much as I can)

This is my modest understanding of the scenario as well. I guess I am just unaware of what, if any, part of the supplement protocol they recommended was specific to the low test indicator.

I should preface my response by saying that their staff did not in any way push their own supplements - in fact, I had to ask to purchase them there. If they were pushing any of their products, it was their training programs.

In terms of long term, I am certainly not qualified to answer, and perhaps CT will jump in and give his thoughts - after all, he is in a similar situation - once he gets his insulin sensitivity where he wants it, would the same apply to him?

My thinking is, though, that the readings I am unhappy with (test/cortisol) are the result of nearly three decades of shitty diet and exercise. Getting them back to where they should be is goal number one, and after that, I would like to think that correct diet and exercise, and perhaps supplementation, keeps them there - supplementation that wouldn’t be as extreme as you see here, obviously.

Insulin Plex:

Vitamin C, B6
Pantothenic Acid
Magnesium
Zinc
Chromium

Green Tea
Forslean (c) Coleus Forskohli Extract (lol)
Panax quinquefolius (ginseng)
Garcinia cambogia (a fruit)
Banaba Leaf
Tyrosine
GABA
Carnitine
Vanadium

Cardiosterol:

Plant sterols

I am going to be starting this entire program on Monday. Clance recommended a mixture of lactate training with some heavy lifting. I will start a training log as CT did to document the results I get. At least that will hold me accountable, as it seems I’m not the only 19.2% bodyfat, low testosterone, high cortisol type user on T-Nation haha.

400IU vitamin E.

1.8g total of tyrosine in the morning, another 1.8g at noon, so about 3.5g per day. Closer to 4g once you factor in the tyrosine in the other supplements.

Clance, the head trainer, sent me this video of the gym and some of its members. A wide span of member types, that’s for sure.

Thanks for the info and please keep us posted on your progress. By the way, what is the tyrosine for in your case? I have used it as a pre-workout “upper” and I think it’s great, but I assume for you it’s for something different?

The tyrosine I believe is part of my cortisol-lowering protocol.

I am having bloodwork done at an annual physical on June 12th, which should verify some of the Biosig results.

I did the BioSignature years ago out here in Arizona. By far the best seminar I have ever attended! So Much Information.

Can you get the actual fat test done in Arizona? I’m next door in Nevada and there is no biosig practitioner here.[/quote]

At the time the Poliquin performance center was here in Tempe, Arizona. I was trained in Biosignature but I have not tested enough people in that manner to be accurate.
