Yeah. Actually nearly all of what you say is right in line wit the way I see it: different anatomical and cognitive peculiarities make both races suitable for different endeavors. I don’t see why so many people go into hysterics because of this! As I said, I work with middle class people of all non-white groups and they still don’t have their kids swimming or playing hockey.
What many naive and inexperienced people don’t realize is that if you talk the truth with different kinds of people in a sincere, reasonable and compassionate fashion, most of them don’t mind at all. I’ve had serious talks with all sorts of people on supposedly taboo issues and none of them reacted as dramatically as some do here, not even close!
@FlatsFarmer I also forgot to add in my previous post that not every Pole or other Slav is of Nordic race. Many are, but they also have Alpine and Mediterranean strains. Even some Jews have a Nordic strain.
And people we meet don’t go around calling themselves Nordic or Mediterranean or Alpine because this topic really isn’t interesting to most people and people usually identify by nationality when asked “What are you?” or “where are you from?” Add to that many people don’t know what they’re talking about in regards to this. I’ve met other fellow bumbling Americans who think the only “real white people” are Anglo-Saxons, Germans, and Scandinavians, as if Slavic or Latin people are “fake whites”.

You’ve written some good/interesting stuff that I’d like to discuss when I’m actually at a computer and have more time. That said, I do want to address this:
You have to remember, you came into this conversation about a year after it started (in other threads). I seriously doubt anyone here disagrees that certain groups of people are pre-disposed to do certain things. The argument is over whether this is simply genetics or if it’s “environmental”.
A good example is black swimmers. The idea that there aren’t many black swimmers because of bone density is, well, silly. There are a number of reasons why black people don’t, generally, swim and that have already been discussed.

Yes, that’s what I was thinking about; Bumbling Americans, and “real” vs “fake,” you put it pretty smoothly.
It’s also interesting you use the word “strain.” With plants, you can “mix” parents or traits to combine genetics and create crosses. But to get a new strain, you need to back-cross for a few generations to “stabilize” things. (obviously I’m not a geneticist)
Can there be “Race” without culture and nationality (or at least geographical division) to stabilize the genetics?
Will North American White Dude become its own strain, different from European Caucasian, as Slavs, Nordics and Anglos “mix” racially and culturally in the US over time?

Of course. That’s a characteristic of a biological construct such as race. It doesn’t change for whatever nation to which a person moves or what culture they take on. You can drop a white guy off in Japan. He can learn Japanese, listen to Japanese music, take on Shintoism, eat Japanese food, and he is still white, not Japanese, not Asian.
Even here in North America we have thousands, maybe millions, of white people partaking or being fans of hip-hop culture, and that was started by a black guy and initially popularized in black and hispanic towns in the Bronx.
At this point in history, people’s DNA are set, as far as I know, and I am not an expert in this area. We are already evolved in the ways we did, and that’s it. So this means a person from the tropics is not going to turn white, and neither are their offspring regardless of how long they reside in America or Europe.
I don’t know if we can call it a new strain, but Meds, Nordics, and Alpines have been mixing in North America and Europe for a long, long time. Many people we call Anglo-Saxons and Slavs are now mixed with Mediterranean and Alpine people in the UK and here.
Right, I said that because, as I said before, there are people in America who are so dizzy about race that they only consider Anglo-Saxons and Scandinavians, predominantly Nordic people, as the only real white people, as they will imply that all others are mixed, such as Italians, Poles, Spaniards, etc. I even had a Polish co-worker who had people tell her things like, “Well you’re not like regular white,” and “not real white,” and other nonsense, even though she is white as stone and has white facial features. Over a decade ago I had two imbeciles tell me, when talking about Spain, that Spanish aren’t white. I asked, “Then what the heck are they?” They replied, “Spaniards”. I actually couldn’t believe my ears.
I totally agree. Which is why I cannot figure out why in this “enlightened” post-modern world we have degraded in maturity so fiercely. Words, like ‘Sorry’, ‘Thank You’, ‘Yes Sir’, ‘Yes Ma’am’ , ‘excuse me’, ‘pardon’, ‘appriciate’, etc. are almost non-existant these days. It’s almost like it’s toxic to say. Like its lowering yourself in some way.
I think you have hit on something that explains a lot of what we have been seeing lately. It’s just plain rudeness.
For instance, these riots at Berkeley or targeting Trump supports with ‘Fuck you’s’ and violence is only going to galvanize their position. We are just plain ruder to each other on a daily basis than we have been. That’s why we’re divided and getting more so. Because we’re rude.
I too have talked taboo issues with diverse people. Each of us being respectful, just really wanting to know how each person sees it. I have even had black people ask me to tell them some black jokes I have heard that they may not have heard, using the n-word and all. Because mutual respect had been established it wasn’t a problem at all. They even found some of the joke funny.
One thing I did realize from the conversation is that there are a lot more black joke than white jokes. Because I asked and they had very few ‘cracker’ jokes. Maybe it was those guys I was talking too that didn’t know many, but it’s a conversation I have had more than once with more than one audience and the white jokes were still scant.
However, if anybody knows some good ‘honkey’ jokes, I’d like to hear them…
And I love being called a honkey, it’s just a funny word… ‘Shut up, Honkey’

I would like to drill down on this. How do you know our origin is nordic? Language and culture could not be further apart… I am half-Czech and never heard that connection. My family has deep, deep roots into the Czech Rep for many generations.
Seems to be a by-product of this “anti PC” mindset we’re seeing flare up. Unforunately, hyper “PC” people turned into the equivalent of rabid feminists and accidentally started an entire movement to shit on anything labelled “PC.” Now if you want to be an asshole you just have to say you’re not “caving to the liberal PC agenda” and you get to feel totally justified.
Well, I only know from what I’ve read. And who knows if what I read is wrong. But besides that, just looking at many Slavs will tell this: pale skin, blue eyes, height, blonde or light brown hair, narrow face, facial structure, etc. The typical round head of many Slavs is an Alpine feature from what I’ve learned.
In general, jokes are boiled down from either generalizations or personal anecdotes.
Most black jokes are rooted in stereotypes. It’s hard to stereotype for “Whites” outside of the “The Evil Rich White Man.” I mean you could go through each group individually I’m sure…Irish…Russian…British…French etc etc…but just general “White?” That’s pretty hard to come across because stereotypes of all “White” people really don’t exist lol. Just my opinion.

Ethnic jokes were like a sport in the bar my dad used to hang out at. That type of banter seems to have disappeared since then.

I do still trade these sorts of insults with close friends…but I would agree people are more likely to get offended in this day and age.

Yup. Watch comedies from the 70s like Airplane! and Blazing Saddles, and try to imagine them being made today.
