Does anyone here have experience and/or information regarding bio-identical testosterone? My very limited understanding of this stuff is that sometimes women use it in HRT as well as men do. Can it have anabolic capabilities? Is it ever part of a physique/performance enhancement protocol? Any and all info is appreciated.

It is important to note at this point that all forms of prescription testosterone-- whether they are “bioidentical” or “synthetic”-- are created in laboratories using chemical means. The vast majority of prescription testosterone (cream, gel, injectable, patch, subcutaneous, etc.) is derived from plant sources such as soybeans and yams. Soybeans and yams are natural substances that are put through a chemical synthesis in a laboratory setting to derive the end product of testosterone. Both bioidentical and non-bioidentical testosterone drugs are synthesized in this manner.
In summary, all testosterone drug preparations are man-made, typically from plant-based sources. “Bioidentical” testosterone exactly matches the chemical structure of “natural” testosterone, but is made in a laboratory just like other non-bioidentical forms of testosterone. Even though all forms of testosterone preparations are synthesized in a laboratory setting, the word “synthetic” is usually used to refer to non-bioidentical forms of testosterone.

Thanks Db, I appreciate your help.
Thanks for your help, Db.
There are different modifications to testosterone … not bio-identical.
Lets talk about testosterone esters, ethanate, cypionate, propionate etc. These are used as they are oil soluble. When dissolved in oil and injected, the body slowly absorbs the oil. When the oil is absorbed, the testosterone molecules are now exposed to various activities in tissue and serum that strip the ester group off yield … drum roll … bio-identical testosterone.
The ester in oil injections are a bio-identical testosterone time release drug.
Testosterone esters do not have any androgenic or anabolic activities until the ester groups are cleaved. Thus these esters are not testosterone until the ester groups are cleaved off. These testosterone esters are thus not testosterone until cleaved and are not bio-unidentical testosterone before that as the esters have no actions characteristic of any anabolic steroid.
The action of the testosterone esters is substantially systemic. But local ester cleavage in tissue at the injection site does create some local non-systemic effects and local muscle enlargement.
My vastus lateralis injections sites are enlarged. My left bicep was smaller than the other. I put every 3rd injection there and they are now near equal.
Perhaps this effect is greater for TRT guys where the systemic levels are much lower than gear use.
I have read that there are injection site effects here [a long time ago].

Are you sure its due to growth, and not scarring of the tissue?
Lol hey bro shoot some wesson cooking oil in your vastus lateralis or bicep and you’ll get the same affect…for a little bit. It’s swelling and it’s temporary.
I’m not so sure about that. As KSman mentioned he uses TRT doses, For test dosed at 250mg/ml that is 0.2ml (50mg 2x/w) administered with a slin pin.
