Liberal HBO â??Real Timeâ?? host Bill Maher says he may leave California, due to the stateâ??s high tax rate.
â??Liberals,â?? he said, during a recent broadcast,â?? you could actually lose me.â??
He made the comments during a panel discussion of current Capitol Hill budget policy that included the participation of MSNBC Rachel Maddow, who blasted Rep. Paul Ryanâ??s proposal as beneficial to the rich.
â??The Ryan budget is a document that says the big problems in American right now are that rich people do not have enough money. They need relief from confiscatory tax rate,â?? she said, Newsbusters reports.
Mr. Maher answered: â??You know what? Rich people â?? Iâ??m sure youâ??d agree with this â?? actually do pay the freight in this country.â??

I watched it he said no such thing , he stated he understands people that do leave . So do blow your load yet
Bill Maher can be funny, but ONLY with his writers…I remember during the writers
strike his ‘New Rules’ segment was dropped and asked on air he hopes they come back soon.
Anyway, he’s a whiny little bitch who should have proposed to that Puerto Rican hottie
Cara SantaMaria, but he didn’t, so now this Atheist Pothead is on the road to growing into
Seniorhood soon with no wife and no kids to support him, just a life with young unstable hookers
with daddy issues…Empaths can see the angst in his face a mile away…a very sad man underneath,
And as far as him crying about his taxes on his last show, he REALLY said he could lose
liberals…A shocker because Bill doesn’t have much of a filter, and keep in mind he said
this on a LIVE telecast so this was not scripted and he really was speaking his mind.
What the fuck did he expect? His taxes NOT to go through the roof? Did he really think
he was immune to the government pickpockets?
I think the new high THC superweed had him delusional he was untouchable because he gave 7 figures
to the very party he is now criticizing affecting his bank account.
This is actually a better video, where he talks about Irag doing better and nanny Bloomberg being off his rocker with the soda ban.
Are you crying Pitt ?
You thought I was bluffing, and your bitch card got pulled.
I do not think you get me at all , I think Maher is a great comedian , even though he depends on his writers EYE ROLL but Maher does not speak for me I agree with a lot of his points , I disagree with probably an equal amount .
No I am not crying I could barely give a fuck. You just hear what you want , Maher did not say the trillion dollars spent in Iraq was well spent, He did not say that every body should buy a big gulp and a bag of Nachos . I agree Bloomberg’s approach was stupid I how ever see what he is trying to accomplish .
On a different note I saw from a So Called Conservative Blog was endorsing the labeling of GMO foods , that is a big switch for a so called conservative
I don’t think Maher has ever claimed to be a far lefty. He used to call himself libertarian, don’t know if he does that anymore. It’s clear he favors Dems over Republicans, but that alone doesn’t mean he supports all their points.
Anyways, the moral of the story is (of course) everyone is for something until it negatively impacts them. Very easy to support raising taxes on yourself until the bill comes to your doorstep and you see how high it actually is.
The best part, California now is tied with Rhode Island for having the highest unemployment rate in the nation. Yay I am thanking my local Democrat for that.
I was talking with my tax guy yesterday, and he told me that with California having a population of 38 million, only 300,000 people pay their taxes.
“I agree Bloomberg’s approach was stupid I how ever see what he is trying to accomplish” .
This has just GOT to be the line of the week.
What exactly was he “trying to accomplish”?..getting people healthier?
How is one gonna legislate health by getting them to drink less sugary drinks?
What if the law passed, a guy buys a smaller drink, but then grabs an 9 inch diameter
Danish Pastry, a pack of smokes and some macaroni and cheese for later?
You’re kidding us on what he was “trying to accomplish”, yes?
If we’re missing something pittbull, what EXACTLY was he “trying to accomplish”>

Yeah dude, no offense, and you do this a lot, but you are confusing conservative with Republican. Particularly establishment Republican.
Why would you assume a conservative would, by default, be agaisnt the lable of GMO foodstuffs?

I agree I get caught up in this partisan shit too but you are as bad or worst than I

Eh, yeah. I have my head firmly in a bubble. I’m fine with it, it keeps me even.

Pure, unadulterated, absolute bullshit.
In 2010, 36.6 percent of California filers paid no federal income tax [that leaves a fuckton more than 300,000 taxpayers]:
And 14 million pay full state taxes:
You should get a new tax guy who knows what the fuck he’s talking about.
You don’t live here, so don’t talk like you do.
And unless you used to work for the IRS for 25 years or work as an adjunct professor, I would keep your tax recommendations to yourself.
Um, I don’t have to live in California to be able to read numbers. Or are you above proving the nonsense you spout by virtue of the fact that you live in California?
So, again, what you wrote is bullshit. Or am I wrong? If so I look forward to you proving it to me.
And again, if your tax guy can fuck something as simple as that up, then his general abilities as a human being are dubious at best.
^ By the way genius, nothing–not a single thing–I said in my first post to you carried even the slightest implication that I was “talking like I live there.”
The 33.33% superminority pays roughly 94% of all California Personal Income Taxes (PIT), effectively contributing over half of the entire General Fund. The 66.67% supermajority contributes just the remaining 6% of PIT, and roughly 3% of the General Fund. Those with an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $50,000 or less were in the bottom 66.67% in 2008.
