A Fix Was In: With in the sports betting world it is fairly well known that the NBA as an organization will hand pick refs for certain situations that the worse team winning will have a very good impact on overall income. Such as an extra finals game, or if say the entire world kind of tuned out after they realize there isnt much reason to watch the series. There is a very strong chance that happened last night. AD gets 4 fouls very quickly. LBJ was called for a ton of traveling (it was, it just doesnt usually get called as it could have easily been fouls in both spots i saw).

Two Other Clear Cut instances: I dont remember the year but LBJ was in MIA and it was a series vs IND and LBJ had 5 fouls in like 12 minutes. Another one was NBA Finals MIA vs SA Game 2 and I looked up the refs and their Win Loss against the spread for each team and the refs were something like a 80-20 split in favor of SA. In a perfect world that would have been 50-50 (remember against the spread accounts for team strength).

Speaking of fixes this one is quite genius. Same SA vs MIA series. Game 1 the AC went out and they played in very hot Texas weather. Yea but that effects both teams equally? Not even close. Manu, Parker and a 3rd I forget who all had extensive experience playing in Europe where they often do not have AC. Also MIA had far superior athletes and they relied on that for their game plan of ā€œspace and paceā€. Turn the AC up and that will significantly slow them down. Also LBJ had a history of cramping (I am pretty sure it was PED caused) but turning up the heat will also increase cramping. Once again this doesnt affect SA nearly as much because their game plan was ball movement causing the D to chase it. Yea, so all in all quite a genius fix. The league stepped in and fined them and said future instances would cause more severe penalties but between that game 1 and the game 2 refs the series was over.

Anywho I say all that to say I took LAL -7.5 in game 3.

Yea, the first few games might’ve leaned in LA’s favor in terms of refereeing and I don’t think anything was super egregious but it definitely didn’t lean LA’s way. There was one point, I think in the 2nd quarter, where LA got called for like 4 or 5 fouls/violations in a row, most of which were questionable. The NBA was already going to get killed financially with all the Hong Kong/China shit this year then COVID hit, so I’m not surprised but I doubt it means they’re going to push to have Miami win.

Yea, I mean as a purist I really wish they wouldnt do stuff like that but I get it too.

Good pump. I think I found a 4th exercise. With the 1 Arm Pulldown I kind of pull and twist each side which really hits that lower lat wing area…at least thats where I feel it. Maybe it will change my insertions (obv not).

My Vacuum was taken after some water and work so it would have probably been better a bit earlier so maybe a smidge more lean mass gain than half a kilo. I also didnt measure my neck again which if that was bigger would also mean more lean mass.

But the real reason for excitement IS THOSE MOTHA FKN ARMS!!! 1cm in about 3.5 weeks of training. This is the biggest I have ever measured them with out a pump. Even if almost all of that is just arm fat it is still progress because I have been way fatter with way smaller arms.

Pretty excited now I am off to get my boobies pumped!!!

Only 2 off my all time PR with 315 so thats cool. Also made sure to hit a full ROM with the incline press and that makes all the difference in pumps.

Was in a car accident on my way to the gym. Wasnt my fault and since the damage was cosmetic (I have a new red racing stripe) I just got back in my car and went to the gym LOL #TrueGYMRAT If you are wondering when I am going to tell my wife well her eyes arent great so hopefully she just never finds out. She worries, a lot.

A Master Class in Bulking

I kid, mostly. Nothing is more annoying to me than a bulker/strength competitor complaining about having to eat 5-6k calories a day. 1st, that isnt hard and 2nd people are starving. Any who I will go over some methods that will really help you pack in the calories.

TLDR; high carb, low fat, low protein until later in the day. Avoid slow digesting foods and fiber is your friend. Some of that may seem contradictory.

Meal #1: 4 Eggs and 100g Pasta 2.5mL Salt-Lite
PreWO: Caffeine Source, 25g Dextrose, 2.5mL Salt-Lite
Intraworkout: 50g Dextrose, 7g EAAs
PostWO: Whey Protein, 25g Dextrose 2.5mL Salt-Lite
Meal #2 thru #4: 50g Chicken (cooked weight) 100g Pasta (raw weight)

~2500cals 143p / 394c / 32f

I keep those meals strict and clean as I am training so I want to be at my best.

All of that takes about 6 hours. Then I go to the gym a second time still a little hungry. I come home starving. THEN the gloves can come off and I usually just eat See-Food for the next 5ish hours until bed. This week I will keep it cleaner to lose some fluff because the calories are not the issue with my bulk.

Mistakes I think people make:

Beef: To get the anecdotal benefits from beef there is probably no need to eat it every day let alone at every meal. It is slow to digest which is satiating so it will make getting those meals in hard. Better choices are chicken, fish or egg whites.

Peanut Butter/Junk Food: I can easily pack in a 3k calorie meal of peanut butter and what ever else. The problem is getting that next meal in. I have had days where I will have an epic cheat at 3pm and just not eat again. Junk food also isnt great for performance so I try to avoid it in general but definitely not if I still have a workout today.

Dairy: This is a double whammy for performance and satiating. I generally avoid it but especially before my workouts are done.

Rice/Fiber: Rice is pretty fast digesting (so a popular choice) but it can also stop you up. If things arent moving then your body is going to tell you to stop eating. Also if you are eating a lot you will be in the bathroom a lot and if thats difficult it isnt going to make this much fun. I prefer pasta as I think its faster digesting and has more fiber.

Too Clean: I have tried to bulk on 4k calories all clean. Rice, potatoes, beef, chicken, eggs, veggies. I was eating 4300 calories not gaining weight and I know I wasnt digesting everything. So basically wasted effort. However, when I dropped my calories down to 3500 and 500 of that was Dextrose I gained weight. Why? because Dextrose is super fast digesting so your body absorbs all of it.

Waistline: The other issue with that amount of clean food is it is less calorie dense and that will stretch your insides out maybe only temporarily but I tend to think the less times your waist spends like that the better.

The Perfect Meal Plan: Shockingly Potato based tee hee. I usually pour bullion and spinach broth over my food for flavor, sodium and micronutrients. I think just adding dextrose to this would be perfect. Dextrose isnt nearly as sweet as sugar but even so think of it like an orange chicken etc. I will probably try this Thursday and document it.

EDIT: DRUGS, dont use orals. The gains you make are fast and just as temporary. The bigger issue is Orals are hard on your liver. Your liver produces stomach acid or something like that so orals will kill your digestion and your appetite. So, fake gains and a hindrance.

Thanks!! Just Monohydrate. I actually didnt know there were different types. If you go that route I would just buy it in bulk and make sure Dextrose is the only ingredient.

I have been going a bit lower sets and higher reps on most things this week. Almost like an active recovery week to get ready for next weeks push.

Arms are looking much bigger. I mean puffy and less defined but bigger none the less. I am starting to notice I am bigger than some other people. I dont think its true Bigorexia but in the past I would just see the 80kg person as the same size as me.

Fk you Tyler Herro. Drains a long 3 with 1.1 seconds left to cover. I have come to the conclusion MIA is way out matched. Watching the first half LAL played terribly. They missed so many shots in the paint (and didnt get calls). Up until 48 seconds left in the 3rd LAL had 5 FT attempts (all by Lebron). MIA had a ton. After all that LAL were up by 1. They finally got calls in the 4th and they pulled away just for snarly mc snarl face to pad his stats. Any who I am going to take LAL to cover again in game 4. It opened at -7.5 but it seems to be coming down so I am going to wait and see if I can get -6.5 or even a better 7.

OK time to work. I am checking out GGpoker. I wanted to a while ago but never did.

Lmao, fuck that guy. Heat are seriously overmatched though, apart from some missed shots they played really well game 4 but couldn’t pull it off. Might put some money on the Lakers to cover for game 5. Think they’re putting this to bed

Mmmmmkay so strength is there. Volume capacity is not…at all. And Low Bar was really hard to get a good rack until about 4 plates so I should have taken that weight loss a bit more seriously.

I just took LAL -7.5 at +100. It started to come back up I assume because Lakers made the switch to the Mamba jerseys and I’m only half joking about that. I legit think those Jersey’s are worth half a point (or more). I think it just sends a message to the team to show up…like the actual message LBJ sent out in their group chat.
