I am so proud of being an American right now. Our team beat Spain the number 1# ranked team in the world which had piled up a record 15 game winning streak and had not lost since 2006!!
This will be considered one of the greatest upset,If not, the greatest upset in sports history(Similar to miracle on Ice)
Now there off to the Final, presumably against Brazil !!! wow. Even if you’re not a soccer fan, You got to be proud of the U.S soccer team. I mean damn, Its Like a college team beating the Lakers. They have to have big balls and even bigger heart to do that. USA!! USA!!!
wait wait wait…
Aren’t you the guy who made the thread “STFU Laker fans”? I’m almost positive you did.

Yea bro, soccer is super obscure, I mean the world cup final is only watched by what, just around a billion people?

pretty sure he meant as far as the U.S. is concerned. We usually don’t give a damn what everyone else thinks. One of the great things about the U.S.A.
And this mentality is gonna change with this victory.
Not really. I just don’t like soccer and I think so many Americans feel the same way. I’m 45 and I’ve been hearing how soccer is the next big thing from when I was 10 or younger.

a couple more wins like these and a good performance in the wc and things will change. If the U.S starts winning, people will watch.
So, there was some kind of tournament recently ? Thats an honest question. World Cup ? I’m sorry, even if we were to win the whole thing I don’t think this country is going to care all that much.

Has anyone here in the USA that grew up B.M.V. (Before Mini Vans) ever even played soccer?
I remember in junior high in the early 70s we had it in P.E. class a couple times and all we ended up doing was putting the ball on a tee and kicking it through the football goalposts (that would be American football goalposts to you furriners).
My dad is 56. He played soccer for his high school. It was no where near as competative as high school soccer is today though.
I don’t even know when the mini-van was introduced lol. But I assume his age applies.

this won’t go down in history like other great matches (because sadly it’s soccer)

LOL, you guys need to pass me some of what you’re smoking. The world doesn’t care about American Football; the world DOES care about Soccer, though. So the world will remember, whether America does or not.
