I say 4-1 Brazil. They are crazy good from the game I saw against Italy

watch this result in some soccer craze in America…until football season starts
I watched the game, I do not think it is miracle on ice status. I am a huge soccer fan, and the US won on pure heart, got dominated on the stat sheet. It is a big win, but it is also in a tournament most people do not give a shit about. If they can replicate it next summer then I will agree with the magnitude of the upset.

The U.S is on an all-time high and hopefully they could pull it off against Brazil. I agree with you though, Its gonna be tough.
1-0 U.S
Great win but the biggest upset was USA 3 Portugal 2 in the World Cup. That would be the World Cup in which dozens of countries compete, not the World series where only we( Americans) compete. Sorry some of you dismiss the World sport and I can assure you it does not come across as jingoism in any way. No, Really. You don’t have to like the sport, but you don’t have to dismiss it out of hand either.
The US will not do well in the World Cup 2010. Soccer will not catch on in this country, the LA Galaxy figured this out after 250 million dollars spent to bring David Beckham here. Nothing changed. No one cared for longer than a day.

But Spain was on a record breaking streak and ranked number 1.
Idk man, I think this one is number one.
Oh man, I’m going to cry if this goes longer than the NHL playoff thread. From one obscure sport to another, I offer my condolences.

Yeah, that move was fucking stupid.
Look, I’m just happy that The U.S beat the best team in the world. It makes it even sweater that the U.S is not even a power house and that were a joke to europe. I’m just happy the U.S won. It doesn’t matter that its soccer. We kick ass at everything.

Beckham is too much of a limey queer to be accepted by American society. And his wife, while hot, comes off as an obnoxiously aloof bitch.
I LOL at the people who actually thought he was the ideal choice for changing soccer in America.

It obviously didn’t work, but he was the best choice for making soccer popular in America.
Great result against Spain.

It sure was, but not if you’re David Beckham.

Ricky who? Who the fuck cares… It’s boxing, an obsolete sport that is more obscure than soccer in our own country.
