Big Stomach

Yup. Anterior tilt. Strengthen your abs, and stretch your hip flexors and quads.

Most guys don’t look so good from a 90 degree side angle unless their abs are perfectly flat.

No offense to all of you pointing out structural issues on one pic, but you can’t even see this guy’s hips in that picture nor his quads. You can’t see jack shit but maybe 1/3 of an upper torso so where the hell are you all coming up with a skeletal diagnosis?

This kid is small and thin. Why ignore the obvious and jump to some advanced structural issue when he could just be standing funny for a picture?

I don’t think even the cheesiest chiropractor would attempt that type of diagnosis off of this one picture. It makes it really ridiculous for regular gym goers to do so.

LOL!

“Hey, doc…I’m really worried about something.”

“Go ahead.”

“My stomach…well, it sticks out when I put food in it!!”

“I’m sorry, son…but you have AIDs.”

Owned!

Yeah, got pwned pretty badly there. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, ofcourse i eat alot. Healthy, good things. All the time. I’m in my big bulk atm. I have lifted weights for just 4 months now, and have gained around 10 kilos, 2 of them is probably fat and some is water. Don’t really think you can judge me by that pic. :stuck_out_tongue: But go ahead, anyway.

I have just seen alot of people talk about their big stomachs and all, so i thought you had some guesses of what to do…

Postural problems are not necessarily structural. Sometimes it is just a matter of learning to stand up properly. If the poster understands proper posture, then he can just say so. If not, he can learn what it is, which is a good thing for everyone to know. And I agree, the cheesey chiropractor would also need a full set of spinal xrays!

Could be an enormous Tape-Worm, which would explain the skinnyness also.

I think i have a similiar problem and notice when i stand straight upright my stomcah looks like I am pregnant but if i suck it in it’s fine. COuld my obliques be pushing the fat forward, look at the pic. Is this posture related? IF so or not so what should I do (special lifts etc)? THanks

I think it has to do with 2 things,
A) the overall size of ur body
B)The abs/obliques covered by fat (which normal, and will happen since ur a male)

Do this:
-Stand straight, flex ur entire mid-section.
-Take ur right hand, with ur thumb and index finger make a pincer like a crab’s arm.
-Push ur thumb and index into ur stomach/side until it reaches the flexed muscle and close the pincer.

-In between ur thumb and index u’ll see how much fat u have covering ur mid-section. (remember to keep ur back straight)

That, combined with the overall size of ur body and… Wallah!

Eating a lot in one sitting, being bloated, “not doing vacuums” all make ur stomach look bigger.

I have the same issue… keep putting muscle on, eat healthy food, do some cardio. Plus walk instead of taking the car to go across the street.

my 2 cents…
