Big Butt Problems

Just get as lean as possible, try to very lean bulk. If you hate it that much just stop lifting all together or stop training legs if you still want to workout

Not sure if this is the right place for my question…

But I’m wondering what the best cycling position is to minimize glute involvement (i.e. sitting vs standing, front of foot on pedal vs back of foot, etc). I live at the top of a hill, so I unfortunately get a bit of a leg workout every time I head home. My ass is noticeably bigger than it was even at the end of the summer, and I’m ripping pairs of pants left and right. I’ve cut out pretty much all other leg stuff from my routine, so how do I go about addressing this?

Do you play hockey by chance?

I did, yeah. Up till a year before Covid, really, but I’ve played it recreationally afterwards.

why do you ask?

Jesus, my hip measurement has grown over an inch since the beginning of the summer… how is this even possible

Seriously? Another post about your butt?

@Chris_Colucci lol

Y’all I’m just looking for help… what else should I do if the problem I came here in the first place to solve hasn’t been solved??

Like I genuinely have no idea what to do at this point.

Handstand walk everywhere so your glutes atrophy and shoulders get bigger

Staying seated will probably help and pedalling at a higher RPM will put the focus more on cardio than your leg muscles.

Buy bigger pants and a belt…
Seriously - your problem is really not a problem.

What specific steps have you taken in the 15 months-four threads-two accounts you’ve started asking about this issue? And what specific progress have you made with those steps?

Keeping in mind, of course, earlier in this thread you lied about your height and weight and posted a pic from four years ago as if it were current, so people were offering advice based on deliberately miselading information.

If you double-check our e-mail correspondence from a few months ago, you’ll see what I suggested to do with regard to your participation on the forum.

You’ve decided not to take that advice, so you’re kinda in limbo here. And I’m guessing you’re not very good at limbo, what with the giant can limiting your flexibility.

I’ve avoided working legs in the gym entirely (save a couple sets of leg extensions/curls which I’ve done every couple weeks). And I haven’t seen “progress” – the lack of it is my exact issue

I apologize for that, but I hope you could see why I did a tiny bit. This issue is fucking humiliating for me to be completely honest, and I’m a bit embarrassed at how embarrassed it makes me. I did that as a way to both make the context behind my “giant can” seem slightly less ridiculous-seeming, and slightly less likely to be connected back to me irl. The last thing I need right now is for someone I know to see this shit

seeing as I know the size of a muscle doesn’t necessarily affect its mobility, it looks like I can add internet forum moderators to the long list of people taking shots at my ass…

this shit isn’t funny guys!

(edit: i change my mind actually it is)

My advice: therapist

We’re trying. Maybe try lightening up a little.

Haven’t you ever heard of Lmfao?

Before cardio sessions, cover your back side with Preparation H and wrap your hips with Saran Wrap. Melt that caboose off!

wow… sorry for that, I’m a bit sleep deprived and that comment got to me way more than it should have

Therapy probably would be a good thing… but there’s no way in hell im gonna be dropping cash just to vent about my huge ass and how it’s causing me so many issues to some complete stranger lmao. Not happening.

Thank you! I’ll remember this, this could totally help
