Nice i did a 4lb burger 1/2lbs of fries in 23min. Also a 4lbs steak 12oz of hash brown side salad and 2 pieces of toast did that in 29min. Love food challenges.
No idea how big your stomach is but it shouldnt be to much of a problem
Ha…I have pics in my hub and take note that I’m sucking it in in those pics.
I ate a 10 patty burger from Burger King a few months ago and did that in 12 minutes. I think I can do it, but all those fries and mashed potatoes! Ugh.
I really want to try a steak challenge (there’s supposed to be a 48oz steak challenge in Taipei but I think the cut may not be choice) or ribs! I could eat a lot of ribs!
I love mash. That would probably be the easiest part of the challenge for me. A good tactic would be to treat the mash as a ‘dip’ for the fries (they’re both made from potatoes). Also, if you do feel like you’ve hit a wall, don’t quit the challenge. Give it ten minutes and you’ll probably get a second wind.
A few years ago a friend invited me to his house for drinks and neglected to tell me that there was a massive buffet. Thinking there wouldn’t be food, I already arrived on a full stomach and had to force feed myself out of politeness - there was no getting away from it as it was set up so everyone was seated at the same table and could see what everyone else took from the buffet (the seating arrangements were more like a meal than a buffet).
I can eat, but I surprised myself at how many “food walls” I broke through just by taking breaks and gathering myself.
^ Another technique is to make sure you are seated at a booth. Periodically bounce to get the air out of your stomach and force the food down. Did this in college to make use of the All-you-can-eat at a local restaurant.
I ate an date non-stop for about 35 minutes and felt close to bursting and it just wouldn’t end!
I could have stuffed about 10 to 15% more in but I would have likely felt ill and still not have completed it.
The funny thing is in the pics it doesn’t look so terribly big… even my buddy who brags about how much he can eat said he’d finish what I didn’t eat…then he only ate about half a pound. (The patty itself is 4 pounds…there were fries all around and a plate of mashed potatoes and 1.8 liters of Coke)
I really think you’d have to be a 400lb Behemoth to finish it.
Yeah…my buddy in the hat that took over kept saying while I ate that he could do the burger at least no problem ( we all thought it looked sort of small…well smaller than we thought it would be when it was brought out) then he tried and bet another buddy 5 bucks that he could finish what I’d left and he didn’t even finish half of what I’d left.
It’s sort of like that thing where you have 2 shots out of a full bottle of whiskey and you can see the neck is now empty…but the middle seems to stay full forever…then when you get near the bottom (hopefully not in one night) it goes fast again.
This was all middle.
Lol Nards. That’s the size of 10 year old’s head! Unlucky mate, but it looks as if you put up a good fight at least! Maybe try again after some stomach training? =P
Stern, you know Harry Ramsden’s? They have what they call a “Challenge Supper” that they give you a certificate for if you finish and that was really not that big and I finished that in 12 or so minutes.
I think I need a mullet. That’s power. Reeeeaaaaal power.
You’re right, my view was scooters and garbage bins.
Maybe the 4lbs is before they cook it, but it’s weird how pictures don’t really do it justice. Above is a pick where you can see how hick the burger is better.
