So is believing you’re lots of things you aren’t

You believe you are a child of god, correct?

Careful about that glass house.

Yes. You don’t believe I am? Oh, Um, ok.

Always funny, to me, when folks want to disregard science for a variety of issues, but throw the science card down when it comes to trans rights.

They annoy me too.

I’ll check in with you all later.

You guys know Rupaul is a he. I just know it!

I think your stance on this is cruel. This person spent their whole life (and most of it having no clue otherwise) as a girl.

I mean, ok, but I disagree. I have to live out my own orientation (the world view that makes me happy).

A girl cannot be forced to share a locker room with a trans girl. She can use another room if she wants.

Wouldnt it be a nicer world to live in if, when you told me you are a christian, i said “oh, cool”, instead of “you must be mentally ill or somekind of pervert if you believe that wacky incestual fantasy”?

Again, it comes down to winning a small insignificant “victory” for yourself, at the expense of making someone feel like dogshit. Its self serving and cruel.

Personally I find the sports debate more interesting than the unfounded bathroom hysteria. The bathroom stuff just sounds exactly like the gay marriage arguments we had on here for years about how if gay marriage was passed all these horrific things would come about. And yet no one gives a shit anymore because we did it and everything was fine.

Nothing changes about the bathroom and people aren’t more or less at risk over anything with this in place in there.

Yep. That is where i think the real debate is.

At the end of the day, i kind of fall on the side of “life isnt fair”. If you were born a man, but feel you are a woman, that is the same negative athletic characteristic as being born smaller or weaker. I think with the advent of Biologic Passports in most international sports (meant to stop doping), we can easily tell who is biologically male or female, and i think that is were the line should be drawn. We have to draw it somewhere, and some group will be pissed about it.

I am very open to having my mind changed about it though.

Ironic for you to bring this up as l erased a post to you specifically.
It mentioned how you have rejected God as a made up concept that you no longer believe.
And questions why you are involved in every mention of him, just to say you don’t believe.

So, why bother? Unless it keeps nagging at you, that perhaps you are wrong.

Afterall, l feel no need disavow Santa Claus or the Easter bunny as something l don’t believe.

Quickly. I just say he if a he. Not all that.
What’s cruel is guilt tripping people to ignore what is right there in front of them

You might if over half the adults you knew believed in Santa and / or the Easter Bunny, and voted on how they thought the two would want them to.

Is that what not calling a man a she is equivalent to? Really?

Edit: nvm. I really should check on my patient for a bit!

Who is talking about watching them pee? We are talking about them changing clothes.

One has an effect on other people and the other doesn’t. We have all likely pissed by a transgender person before maybe numerous times and never known. As I said woman have barged into men’s rooms for years as men typically have smaller lines as they are quicker to go.

I don’t know about everyone else but when I’m at a chiefs game and I have to pee I go do it. I don’t much worry about if the person next to me was born with a penis or not. Are people more comfortable with a born male looking at their junk while they pee than a born female? I mean I’d prefer neither did it but if one was I wouldn’t think well at least he was born with a penis and didn’t take hormones at any time in his life.

It just seems like such a non issue. And I brought up gay marriage because for years it was all about how that was going to change everything and all this stuff on here. And we argued about it often. And it happened and now hardly anyone even talks about it. It’s a non issue. Much like numerous social changes over the years that people said would lead to such a slippery slope.

people were talking about stalls. Do you think this is going to massively lead to people watching girls change? Like I said agree to disagree but I’m firmly in the camp of no effect.

Nothing stops a guy from watching girls change in the locker room right now. Seriously these doors are almost always unlocked at games and such at small schools. And this will likely change nothing at all.

It means the school can’t punish the boy for walking in.

This thread has devolved into the same mire when liberals feel the need to out liberal each other.

I mentioned boys dont need to go into girls lockers and suddenly non liberals are hard hearted and they hate the 37 people in the world that have biological ambiquity.

Wow l am 30 and know more about the world than the cultural norms of tens of billions of people before me regarding the most basic truth in the world - there are boys and girls and 1 out of several million that are biologically ambiguous. Oh yeah did l remind you there is no god
