Biden 2021 - A Mediocre Middle Ground

FIFY.

But you specifically said “peaceful.” Do I think there will be court cases and disputes? Of course. The loser or every presidential election in my lifetime has lodged some form of complaints and there have been many court cases.
The certification of the electoral college was objected to in 2016 by democrats. The claim that any of that threatens democracy is a scare tactic used for political purposes. I see no rational basis to doubt that there will be a peaceful transfer of power in January.

This is simply false. Harris was not on the Biden ticket in the 2024 primary. Primary candidates don’t have running mates. Only Biden was elected in the primary.

The question is not if the process was legal. Legally, the DNC has full authority to completely change the rules whenever and however it chooses. Nonetheless, the candidate was changed at the behest of megadonors and party power brokers. It was not a democratic process.

No. You’re a troll. Your troll game is to portray a caricature of a woke college girl. You aren’t the first troll to come around here and you won’t be here long.

I said clean, peaceful. I don’t think jan 6th was peaceful. And no president has gone nearly as far as Trump in 2020 to lean on electors and the VP to stop or change the election results.

I’m totally A-OK with court cases. Fight it within the letter and Spirit of the law, as all others have done before, but put the country not the candidate first.

A vote for Biden was a defacto vote for a Biden/Harris ticket. Every last voter knew that.

And yes, it was legal. And Biden dropped out at the behest of his team, family, colleagues and the country. Voluntarily.

What’s interesting is that everyone on the Democratic side of the spectrum is happy with Kamala being the nominee. Like pretty much universally. Fully supported by any and all of what would have been her rivals. The only people who have a problem are the people from the right who wouldn’t have voted in the primaries, and won’t vote for any D candidate anyways. The only people mad about this, are the people who were loudly calling for it 1 months ago.

Nah. They have my meta data. They know I’m a crotchety 50something with a penchant for goth chicks, tattoos, piercings and daddy issues.

Actually, you don’t know this. Ironically, there is a way to know this. We call it an election.

He’s a troll. It’s obvious with that post.

We kind of do though. But fair point, going through a full primary would have been better.

But, Biden dropped out too late on the game for that to happen. What would you have suggested the Democrats do once Biden dropped out? It was way too late to hold primary elections, or have candidates campaign (only a couple weeks till DNC).

What do you think would have been a better option after the winner of the primaries (Biden) dropped out? Legitimate question as you seem pretty knowledgeable here.

What specifically is female about my posts?

Joe Biden won 50 States in the Dem primary before declaring himself unfit and dropping out. The majority of Dem voters wanted Dementia Joe, despite the dementia everyone else has seen for years. Incredible.

I’m not biting, troll.

I was just wondering why you thought calling me female would be insulting. But you’re right, it was rhetorical. We all know why you used it as an insult.

It wasn’t rhetorical, you’re a troll.

He didn’t call you female.

First, I think it’s kind of the wrong question as it’s at least plausible that Democrat donors and inner circle power brokers forced Biden out (yes, he technically has to agree, but also leverage exists). That is the undemocratic part of it. How you deal with the aftermath is pretty messy no matter what you do. But if you want an answer, I think the Democrat party image would have been significantly helped by actually having options and holding an open convention. It’s clear that a few weeks ago there was not agreement that Kamala Harris was the only possible successor. The quick consensus around here was quite clearly driven by the media, donors, and party insiders. The Democrat voters have fallen in line because they weren’t given another credible option. That doesn’t seem like any democracy I’m familiar with.

To be clear, I think it’s good for the country that Biden got out. I want Trump to win and think he had better odds against Biden (although even today against Kamala, I think Trump is a slight favorite). But I also recognize that the country is better off with two candidates that seem mentally coherent. That’s true because it gives people a real choice and also because, although I think a Biden victory was unlikely, it was possible and the man’s not mentally competent.

Cuz when we’re born the doc turns each of us upside down and smacks us on the ass.

This knocks the dick off of the dumb ones.

And just like that, she goes from a crappy immitation of a southern drawl to a crappy immitation of Detroit.
While pretending she knows about something she clearly doesn’t do.
