Why must you make me defend these people? Cheney was a drunk who shot someone and Reagan let drug dealers into the country.
Walz, would not have been in great danger over there. The idea he was afraid he would get killed doesn’t make as much sense as him simply not wanting to leave home for a year.
Then stick to that without bringing other things into it. He lied, exaggerated, whatever, then talk about that. The DUI is more serious than a lie. But if someone wants to say he shouldn’t be running, or that he won’t vote for him, because he lied, they are being dishonest as well. They won’t vote for him because of the particular lie but they will still end up voting for a liar.

Well first of all- happy cake day.
The guys face looked like a damn grouse. And if he was hanging out with Cheney, he needed it.
We were short on drug dealers at the time. We didn’t need as many through the oxycontin years, but now thats over, so Joe showed good leadership in helping to fill the void.

Then I read the story and it turns out he was 31; then he used the military service thing saying he was deaf from military service, trying to weasel out of it. Can you spot the pattern?
