Biden 2021 - A Mediocre Middle Ground

Josh Shapiro was clearly the better choice for 'da Dems; can’t win POTUS unless you win PA.

But you gotta cater to the terrorist lovers these days…

I don’t like people who never served calling someone who did, and I believe Walz went on deployments prior to the Iraq one he didn’t go on, a coward. He was a CSM in an artillery unit. He wasn’t going to be getting shot at.

IMO, this will be a non issue. Does Trump really want to make military service an issue?

A glass house never stopped trump from flinging rocks.

Regardless, 24 years in the guard, earned the rank of command sgt major, and honorable discharge. I’m impressed.

AOC and Manchin gave full fledged endorsements, so he seems to be popular with the full breadth of the democratic base… Something that Shapiro was not, and something that is needed to get a strong voter turnout in the battleground states.

You wrote a lot of words based on that, and I’m puzzled.

@zecarlo

Now, defend this one (I believe Mr. Walz tried to get out of the DUI by telling the state trooper that he was deaf from his military service.)

30 yr old DUI. Has been a teetotaler ever since.

Shoot, being a teetotaler is the bigger red flag, IMO.

You’re a rube. Please.

To be clear, like I alluded to, I post this stuff because of the hypocrisy.

I was thinking that the twilight zone was going to descend on the US shortly when kamala-ding-dong actually wins the POTUS race. This Walz pick lessened that possibility dramatically imo.

Btw, I re-watched the video, (which you apparently did not), and the guy making the accusation went to Iraq because Walz did not. An easy google, and:

Also, not a CSM as the final rank, according to that article.
:
"According to Behrends, Walz had been selected for the US Army Sergeants Major Academy and promoted to Command Sergeant Major in 2004 — which required him to serve two more years or lose the promotion.

His retirement nullified the promotion and, on September 10, 2005, his rank was reduced to Master Sergeant, according to the Daily Wire."

Aaaaagh! He’s a convicted criminal!!!

A misdemeanor 30 years ago that was a turning point in a mans life, is quite a bit different than 34 felonies committed 8 years ago with no remorse shown.

That said, a little campaign finance fraud barely makes the top 100 reasons I’m not voting for trump, which is why I personally don’t bring it up… It was a proverbial getting Capone on tax evasion.

From the only objective person on MSNBC (the commenters, being MSNBC lemmings, all disagree LOL):

Is still a conviction.

See, theres a knee jerk response to compare. Its no good. You know as well as anybody that Trumps convictions were in a fantasy land courtroom and 100% will be overturned.

Meanwhile, the actual standards and codes of conduct plummet to meet an ever descending bar.

Im fine with it. He did the crimes, and was justifiably found guilty under the law. I don’t think it’s a watershed conviction likely to change many people’s mind about him as a person or candidate.

When I say its capone-like I just mean that capone was terrible for countless reasons, with tax evasion being near the bottom of the list… And campaign finance fraud is near the bottom of the list for trump.

Meagan Kelly said he was allegedly a chicken and he “dodged.”

He didn’t retire as one but he would have had that rank in Iraq. It was a regimental level position.

I’m not voting for him or Kamala so I’m not defending him for political reasons. He retired rather than go to Iraq. Did he do this because he was afraid? Again, he wasn’t going to be kicking in doors, I don’t think anyone who deployed with that unit did, or patrolling the streets worried about IEDs. He was in for over 20 years and had gone on deployments. It wasn’t a lifetime commitment and someone else just took over his role. This wasn’t Napoleon abandoning his troops in Egypt.

These people criticizing him, including those who served and are calling him a coward, are the real hypocrites as Trump avoided service. Bush joined the Guard to avoid Vietnam. Cheney was a serial deferment chickenhawk. Though not a politician, Rush Limbaugh (who was also a degenerate drug addict) went to college, got a deferment, then later dropped out of college. He also used a pimple on his ass to avoid the draft. Even Ted Nugent avoided the draft. Go after the guy for policies because in the end, the majority of voters will set aside any moral qualms for the benefit of the team. It’s embarrassing how this clown show of American politics is like a bunch of girls arguing.

Capone can be the new Hitler. Cuz Trump=Hitler got used to death and became meaningless.

And the left wingnuts have adopted Hitler like thinking, and Nazi like actions.

But Capone killed people. Like, actually killed them. St. Valentines Day Massacre type stuff. And ran an actual organized crime syndicate, capitalizing on prohibition and peoples craving for the licentious side of life.

So to say he’s like Capone would be a lot less off the mark than to say he’s like Hitler, but still wildly inacurate. Like spraying enemies with a tommy gun inacurate. Like Capone.

See? Now you’re more like Capone than Trump. With you’re tommy gun of inaccurate analogies.

What about the fucking children? Don’t you care about who gets hurt?

Promoting a drunk driver to be VP to a woman who lets Terrorists and drug/human traffickers cross the border with impunity?

It appears you don’t care at all. And that makes you part of the problem.

I mean I pretty clearly described what meant.

If you want to irrationally ascribe all that hyperbole to me, them I guess you can just go have fun being recreationally offended. Why have an adult, thoughtful discussion, right?

Nah. I remember you. I know otherwise.

I’m sharpening my journalistic chops after the blood bath the infotainment industry has been. Can’t weld for ever.

I’m just illustrating how people voting and acting in somewhat rational self interest go from being human beings with their own reasons and sensibilities to “Trumpers”, “Deplorables” “Nazis” and need to be treated as such.

Its Trump. Not Capone. Not Hitler.

Hell, he doesn’t even have the body count of the Clintons, let alone any real mass murderers.

Dude, that unit had 3 casualties in Iraq. One kid was specifically mentioned as dying from a road side bomb. At least look at what happened before getting on your soap box.

Unduly harsh, and again, check the facts before stepping on the soap box. The 2 guys in his unit that publicly criticize him do so because Walz is fudging the facts to put himself in some sort of gallant light, i.e. stolen valor.

Check out his Covid policies, you’ll love them. Especially the rat on your neighbors provision.
