Of course I remember Covid hysteria, it is still ongoing. Nobody got that close to 'round-em-up and exterminate the lot of them, not even close. To think so is to really think poorly of your neighbors, and I will call that out wherever I see it.
Most democrats I know are people who really do care, but for whatever reasons support awful policies. This is all perfectly understandable for people who are wrapped up in their own careers and families and simply don’t pay a whole lot of attention to politics. The democrats have been the sexy party of the dominant culture for quite a while. That’s the fault of lazy conservatives and cynical Republicans, not people who vote for feel-good words.
I’m concerned about where this line of thinking may lead in a few more generations if it remains unchecked, but I think America is about to give a hard check to wokeism in general. We really have been for a while now, the pop culture and media is just starting to catch up with the zeitgeist.
And yes, time always tells us who read it right and who read it wrong.

Mayor Pete has been the Mayor of a city of about 100,000, which doesn’t seem like it would qualify him to be President. I saw a former Mayor of a city of about 100,000 swimming laps while wearing a COVID mask last year(*may have been two summers ago-I forget how long we’ve been playing COVID)…
However, Mayor Pete is not afraid to sit on a stiff cock. So he has that going for him in the Victim Olympics.
A dump of a city. I was there, unwittingly during mayor pete’s reign, it was a dump, out side the University area. There was nothing to brag about in South Bend. The sidewalks were all cracked and were lifted up like there had been an earthquake, the road had more holes than asphalt, there was no new infrastructure that I could detect and it generally smelled like mold. There was not a new road, bridge, pipe, nothing indicating the place even had a mayor. But there were thousands of stray cats. If you needed a cat, South Bend had your back. It’s a shithole. Not a ringing endorsement, for sure.
Like I said, Mayor Pete is very good at playing the game if government. That’s why he’s a Cabinet member of the Biden administration drawing a fat government salary.
Sounds pretty good for Indiana.

I’d say that his position as a Cabinet member at age 40 ish is fairly good evidence that he’s good at playing the game of government.
I was terrible at the game of government, but my brief time there was spent trying to do my job well, which I now understand can piss off a lot of people in the government.
Mayor Pete is shrewd enough to know that getting ahead in government has nothing to do with good outcomes.
That’s why he’s got a cushy set-for-life government job, and I don’t.
Yup, good outcomes is not a job requirement. Sucking off the right people is. And his mouth is wide open. And that’s what we need get rid of.
