Biden 2021 - A Mediocre Middle Ground

It seems it is all about Nord Stream 2 again. Something I was vocal about when Biden lifted the restrictions for that pipe line. Fucking imbecile.

Merkel is the same freaking useless piece of dog crap for pushing Europe into that pipeline. For all her leadership in Germany, they removed all of their energy and replaced it with renewables, which obviously do not work, now they need import and Nord Stream 2 was their saving card.

Now Europe is held hostage by this pipeline.

You got to love the logic here. We have to protect Ukraine because, borders are important… Yeah, just not ours to usher in new democrat voters.

Yet, China unleashed a virus on the world that crippled and took down the biggest economy in the world and nobody seems mad about it. Is that not just a little weird?
If we wanted to go to war, China should be our target. They actually did something that affect us directly. Yet, Ukraine, sovereign borders… Astounding.

With Breyer retiring, Biden has promised to appoint a Black woman to the court at the same time the court is about to strike down considering race in college admissions.

Of course he is. We need another idiot like sotomeyer who was chosen purely on racial reasons not competence.

What’s up with the Democrats “packing the court” by expanding the number of justices? Is that still on the agenda?

I’m sure many would love to pack the court, just as they would love to pass a federal takeover of state-controlled elections and shamelessly call it “voter rights”. I don’t see court packing happening if they couldn’t get their corrupt election rigging bill passed.

For now they will have to continue their strategy of importing as many new voters as possible, rigging the elections at the local level, media censorship, media propaganda and indoctrinating a new generation of voters into a harmful and nonsensical woke ideology.

They sure as hell aren’t getting it done with the effects of their policies or their ideas about society, education and government. Federally or locally.

Voter ID is absolutely needed in as many jurisdictions as possible. If by some means they pack the courts and get “voting rights” passed, well, that may be the end of the experiment. We’ll be in a de-facto one party state, just like China, but maintaining some pretense of a two-party system. You don’t read about a whole lot of internal agenda obstruction over there, do you?

It’s weird how so many Libs that say voting is a right and shouldn’t require an ID are totally against Constitutional Carry laws.

Many feel the 2nd is long outdated and guns should not be a right.

Now, if only the right would just come out and say they don’t think voting should be a right.

FWIW, I think there are very valid reasons why neither should be a right.

You don’t really think wanting to require an ID to vote indicates that you don’t think voting should be a right, do you?

Nope (depending on how the requirements are written and enforced). I also don’t think many “draconian” gun laws like registration, age limits, ammo limits, mag capacity, making certain guns illegal etc would infringe on the intent of the 2nd.

What do you interpret “shall not be infringed” to mean?

That was a legit question. Just wondering how you interpret it.

Rights are for citizens of the country. An ID is used to prove residence/citizenship. There are no added qualifiers like race, education etc. Does not compare to the 2nd.

Shall not be lessened or obstructed.

Well, we obstruct gun ownership, voting, privacy, etc. And have done so for years. With most people agreeing.

I think fundamentalists/literalists are stupid. We should not rigidly apply rules written hundreds or thousands (bible) of years ago to a current world unimaginable to the original writers.

Imagine a cool state, with Constitutional Carry and without Voter Ids.

Alaska?

At the State level, they wouldn’t. Making certain guns/arms illegal at the federal level certainly does(notice “does” and not “would,” because we’re well past the point of infringement).
