Biden 2021 - A Mediocre Middle Ground

It appears the age was 13.37. youngest exposure was five, which makes sense as a small portion indicated the nature for first exposure on their behalf was “forced” and the oldest was 26.

My story isn’t nearly as exciting. I was at a Shabbas dinner with family. Went to the bathroom, was looking for a magazine to pick up and somehow hidden in there was an EXTREMELY graphic pornographic magazine. On par with what you’d see in mainstream videos.

Then again, mainstream is debatable. I hardly watch pornography nowdays. I’m trying to cut it out entirely, but it’s difficult as I don’t have a significant other. When I did watch it, the ‘mainstream’ content that I saw hardly encompassed what ‘mainstream’ sex actually represents.

Here’s to hoping those exposed at a young age don’t acquire expectations as to think porn is representative of reality. It’s fantasy, and what’s seen in porn is 90% of the time best left sole to porn.

As did I. I’ve know one or two people who started actually having sex at that age. It seems shocking, however hundreds of years ago this was actually the age wherein people started getting married, having children. Granted the maternal mortality rates are quite high when we refer to early teenage pregnancy.

The world is a fucked up place! We have child soldiers, children in forced labour, youth gang violence, hard drug use. These realities are very hard to stomach, as the mere existence of these constructs, let alone when these aspects of life affect children is stomach churning.

SOME ten year old kids may watch porn, but you’re looking at a stark minority. When a child is very young (say below the age of thirteen) it’s not hard to simply say “no, that kid is trouble. You can’t hang out with him/her”

As a child gets older, develops as an adolescent and naturally tries to assert independence; control becomes far more difficult and the risk of rebellion amounts.

As to kids seeking out porn at twelve… I’d believe it because I was around similar kids albeit at that age I still refused to partake. Many are going through puberty, it isn’t uncommon for a 12 y/old to be at tanner stage III in terms of pubertal development, meaning as a male they are likely capable of ejaculation and as a female they may have started menstruating. Some kids are “early bloomers” and as such those with the hormonal drive damn near akin to adult will be the ones who are the most curious.

I’ve seen 12/13 year olds with full on beards. It’s VERY rare, but it happens. Not every kid is the same.

Granted under no circumstance should a twelve year old be watching pornography, but I can understand why some would be seeking it out.

As do I… But they weren’t the norm

I can’t remember what age I was first exposed but it was definitely before puberty. You guys are gonna get a kick out of this.

It was MORMON CARTOON PORN.

:joy:

I was watching a normal movie on a video rented from a video store. I let it run during the credits and then realized it was taped over a cartoon. I didn’t know what was going on but I remembered the details which I’ll spare you because it had some weird shit with naked people in a forest and one dude was a fucking centaur LMAO and one of the first things I did when I had access to the internet was google what the fuck I watched that day.

FWIW I had my first sexual experience before I ever watched porn (not including the Mormon cartoon). The only thing I had seen before that that came close was a HK Category 3 movie called Erotic Ghost Story. I think I found it more funny than sexually arousing.

It’s not that I didn’t have access to porn. Pedlars were distributing flyers with their fucking pager numbers on them to every household mailbox with a list of porn flicks on VHS lol. I just couldn’t afford them, let alone hide them anywhere in my home. Never really developed an interest in porn because of this.

When vcds arrived, they were much cheaper and easily transportable when there were police raids. I could go down any of the alleys where vice was taking place and find 10 different pedlars. One alarm from a stool pigeon and they’d simply fold up the large table cloth their stash was placed on and just run lol. Try doing that shit with VHS tapes.

I went to these places to find the latest HK Category 3 flicks which were rated that way because of the violence and gang themes, a lot of which were actually commentaries about the government at the time. Shit, I could go to a shopping mall and the first floor would be filled with illegal vcd stands with those flicks. They just didn’t have porn which was why they were allowed to operate there. But I knew some of the pedlars in those alleys personally so they’d save the ones with the best quality for me bootlegged directly from HK. I didn’t want those taped in the cinemas where I lived because they would be censored anyway if they were allowed to be screened in the first place.

Shit, my parents got The Evil Dead, Demons and Texas Chainsaw Massacre from these places. They were illegally copied from original VHS tapes and even had pretty accurate subtitles. That’s how I watched them when I was a kid. They were sold in actual stores in these shopping malls which were nicely renovated and well maintained like Blockbuster. No one gave a fuck.

And you wanna talk about prostitution? I hypothetically lived with a clubgirl for a week while looking for a new place for accommodation in my university days in a 3 story house in the “red light district” which was partitioned in a way that it could house like 50 whores from China and the dude who owned the property was a fucking doctor lol. This was NOT a whorehouse. This was just a place where these girls stayed and paid rent when they were off work. The gangs were in charge of whorehouses. Had lots of nice conversations with them. At least half of them weren’t even prostitutes. They worked as “entertainers” in clubs where they’re fondled and give handjobs for tips. They were all freelancers. Met lots of fucking men in their 40s-50s who had young to grown kids and various sob stories about their estranged spouses who actually lived there with their “girlfriends” lol. None were divorced. This was in the country where I live NOW. I finally got “kicked out” for disturbing the peace when one dude insulted my chick and I was compelled to rough him up a bit. Hell, I wasn’t even mad and I’m not a violent person. I was a kid and it was the least one could do when someone lets you stay at her place free of charge lol. Apparently, the “community” there was so tight the dude was tipped off by other guys when I arrived and he ran away lololol. All I really did there was study and fuck.

Where I used to live, there wasn’t even a “red light district”. I knew mostly local whores and 4 of them shared an apartment above a shophouse right next to mine. They were walking the streets everywhere around the neighbourhood after 8pm.

Mmm

Hmmmm

So what would you describe the advent of selling sexual services for money? Stripping is typically no contact, and pleasuring customers is certainly off limits.

So if not prostitution, what do you call selling handjobs for money? Are people who work at “rub and tug” massage parlours not considered prostitutes?

I think they are. Is a dominatrix who doesn’t offer penetrative sex not a prostitute?

Were there any positive elements you recall from your childhood? You’ve turned out exceptionally well given the environmental circumstances of which you were brought up in.

There are cultural things at play when it comes to Chinese societies because of our history of brothels, which were culturally accepted in general throughout our history, which is why offering services just short of opening your legs isn’t surprising. There are also various classifications and different systems when it comes to organized sexual services vs freelancers plus certain “moral” issues when it comes to the girls involved. Plus, there are girls from all over Asia where such certain systems may be specific to their respective countries. I could go into them if anyone is interested.

But for the sake of simplicity, they’re all part of the sex trade. I don’t really judge them morally so I haven’t given enough of a fuck to really think about how to really accurately classify them.

YOU see them as negative because you were raised in a certain environment and this is new to you. I did not because it was the only environment I knew. So did most of my friends who didn’t succumb to drug use. They generally turned out well. It was mainly the amount of drug users and the lack of higher level job opportunities that I hated so much that I decided to leave. And the fucked up dirty, racist cops. Fuck, even my choice of subject for my higher education at the time was largely so that no fucking cop would ever fuck with me again. Whores are cool in my book. Child labour? Adults were generally protective of us when we sometimes had to earn some extra cash for the household. I don’t know anyone who has anything bad to say about their experiences. Chinese gangsters NOT STRAIGHT OUT OF COMMUNIST CHINA were generally cool. My morals were instilled in me in my home and certain older peers I knew who watched out for us kids. Street rules evolved from anti-Qing revolutionaries and lots of the gangs abided by them and they worked so well Indian gangs started picking them up lol.

Shit, go ask @punnyguy about his childhood. He was the one who grew up in the Walled City. That was the real shit. I can’t even fucking imagine living there. I don’t think he even thinks it was a bad experience lol.

But, I mean, if you took away all my assets and forced me to go back and work and live in that shithole TODAY after experiencing the comforts of middle class 1st World life, I’d rather kill myself.

EDIT:

And, IIRC, @loppar 's lived through some realass totalitarian commie shit that would beat any of our experiences hands down.

I’m not a crusader trying to impose my moral fundamentals unto others as if I somehow believe I have the audacity and entitlement to call the shots.

I’d never recommend someone get into prostitution, or the sex industry; but I understand people do and I legitimately believe it is a safer industry if safeguards are put up to protect those selling services from sexual assault.

Data is indicative legalised prostitution may lead to a counterintuitive increase in the demand for trafficked women. On the other hand, it also drastically lowers rates of sexual violence, assault, murder, drug use and STI transmission within the sex industry.

Neo-abolitionism is another framework that doesn’t decrease all the aforementioned risk factors per se, but it does decrease the demand for human trafficking and allows the women to be safe from the hands of the law, whereas the buyers are the demographic fined or arrested.

I think taking a girl who has been trafficked against her will for a decade, booking her on a prostitution charge and incarcerating her over a lifestyle she didn’t consent to in the first place and in many instances can’t voluntarily leave is beyond inhumane.

Legalised prostitution seems to work in Aus. It’s kept far out of public eye, very, very low rate of STI transmission, those selling services can reject payment from men they don’t like. The framework of legalisation has led to a vastly superior outcome relative to when it was illegal, even more rampant than it is now, a paradigm wherein street prostitution was common.

I don’t like the idea of women, or men selling sex as a service; but I’m not going to advocate we impose harsh penalties over it as the outcome for that arguably seems to be even worse. There is certainly a valid niche for escorts, that being lonely or disabled men who otherwise CAN’T find a means to acquire physical intimacy. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing for these subtypes to seek out the services of an escort.

It’s not the morals I worry about, though I don’t agree with it. I worry about trafficking, rape, destroyed relationships, hard drug use, violence, pimping, gang related activity and more. It’s not just the prostitution, it’s the connotations that are frequently associated with prostitution. But as specified I’m an advocate for at the very least neo abolitionism and depending on the framework; decriminalization or legalisation because I don’t see a better solution.

This has nothing to do with religion, though I happen to think the way prostitution is run even under a legalised framework is somewhat degrading. While selling sex can net someone an amazing income provided they’re attractive and friendly… I’d prefer to see women with the “gift of the gab” like that make money through other means. However if for whatever reason they wish to get involved, it’s not my place to say “no! You can’t do that”.

I understand it’s a VERY efficient way to pay off college debt, to afford decent housing in Australia (absurd housing prices here).

I see it as a negative because, on average from an epidemiological perspective children growing up within this type of environment are far more likely to eventuate a poor outcome. These are things children shouldn’t be exposed to, but sadly are.

I can’t relate to what you’ve been exposed to. I unfortunately knew quite a bit about drugs at a young age, but that’s about it. Throughout the years I’ve been exposed to plenty of vice. Prostitution, youth degeneracy, youth violence, excessive hedonism etc. But by and large this was at a time wherein I was old enough to be able to put what I was seeing into context.

I refer to in person exposure. Seeing shit on tv/in films doesn’t count. By the time I was nine or ten I was easily able to distinguish media from reality. I don’t think adolescents watching morally abhorrent tv shows like family guy, south park, The Simpsons etc is the end of the world because I give (most) teenagers a little bit of credit. I think they can watch an episode of South Park, appreciate the satire and realise these shows aren’t representative of society, rather they’re a critique of everything that is wrong with society. A critique that drives it’s point home by representing extremes.

Strange derail of a Biden thread.

Sure, but par for the course for a PWI thread

I found the transition from Biden to whoring, as staying on topic.

On a completely unrelated note, some of Hunter’s paintings are…pretty good actually.

Here in Canada a few years ago we had Alek Minassion, an autistic man who was too off the deep end in terms of his behaviour to get laid. He rented a van, ran 10 people to death, and surrendered to the police. His defence was that his autism messed up his life enough that he wasn’t criminally responsible. The court didn’t come close to buying it, and he is in for murder 1.

I think he mentioned that he thought the concept of prostitution to be abhorent, but might an accessible industry in other cases similar to his curb ‘volcanos’?

I never said nor implied that your were.

That’s different. That would be a great miscarriage of justice.

That’s because the girls need to get regularly screened for STDs. Even where prostitution is a “gray area”, this is “unofficially” ordered by the governments or they’ll just send the anti-vice guys to continuously raid the places. Prostitution needs to exist or worse shit like rape would increase.

I only found out I had a granduncle who was a Station Inspector when he came to my grandfather’s funeral. Spoke to him for 3 days and never met him again. Every time someone wanted to set up new club in his area, they had to go through him first lol. His people would decide where these nightclubs could be set up to avoid gang territorial disputes and over competition while collecting a monthly “protection fee” from them. Same thing I heard from my area.

I keep saying if you guys want to understand how Chinese people did their shit in the past while under British rule or even after gaining independance, go watch a movie called Lee Rock. It was so fucking realistic even cops were recommending it to fellow cops even though it was mostly about police corruption LOLOLOL. Like fucking lawyers relishing in lawyer jokes.

Look, the 80s and 90s were very different from today. The question is what kind of values are being taught at home and whether such upbringings are effective. And what kind of cultures and systems of governments exist. How did Singapore become a First World country while Malaysia and Indonesia fucked themselves? Is it a racial thing? If it is, then the Chinese would be some kind of uber Chinese race if we adjusted their IQs based on percentage of population with IQs derived from other races from their respective countries of origin. Or was it because of the fucking powerhouse of a man named Lee Kuan Yew whom even politicians like Margate Thatcher and Deng Xiaoping admired greatly? What would China be like now if they were annexed like Africa during the Boxer Rebellion? Would they have retained their cultures or would people be speaking French in certain provinces?

At least 3 out of the top ranking countries in the world would have had a similar kind of environment at least in some parts of their countries. ALL THESE would have been the norm in the 60s and 70s. Was it refusal to give in to colonization? The Thais did that. See how they made the Brits give them the Bunga Emas. They called Chinese people the “Jews of Asia”. I still don’t understand what that means. Malaysia decided it as a good idea to assassinate a British official in broad daylight (see James W.W. Birch. It was hilarious.). Look at them now. In the top ranking Chinese countries, old timers would say you had 2 options: join the government or become a gangster.

In Singapore, for example, there used to be 2 “classes” of people. One class spoke English because their fathers and grandfathers worked for the government, which was run by the Brits so they had to lean English. The upper middle class consisted largely of them. They bought shit like landed property from their government payout schemes even though their estimated take home incomes were similar to those in the private sector and made 100x their investments in the 90s even when taking inflation into account. The other class spoke mainly Chinese dialects because they worked in the private sector, which did not require much English and more complex jobs requiring higher educations were not available until later. They bought mostly government apartments which did not rise in value much taking inflation into account. Most were in the lower middle class. Later on, a simple fucking thing like proficiency in a bloody language could almost accurately denote your “class status” during that era. But it’s not the same today from what I understand.

There is a reason why gen Xers called the next generations “snowflakes”.

It’s why I described how even gangs were self-regulated to some extent. These were mainly to keep the peace so they could make money. Chinese people are more collective, ceremonial and hierarchal in nature due to our history so we generally avoid chaos. You don’t make money and you have the fucking cops on your ass all the time if there’s too much disorder. Even every fucking outdoor eatery had one gang that “protected them”, which means they sat around and handled any physical disputes and prevented other gangs from fucking with them for a monthly fee. Note that the fucking COPS were the first assholes who did this shit until there was a large clampdown on police corruption in the 70s in most of these countries. But then we’d still have fucking bloody gang fights and riots amongst immigrants from different Chinese provinces up to the 60s lol. I watched Gangs of New York and I was thinking “holy shit some of this shit was similar in the US too?”.

Different countries and even the different ethnicities that reside there have different cultures. You can’t just look at one aspect of things and expect the same predictive model that is used in YOUR society to apply to others.

Very postmodernist. I agree. I can see how his work emphasizes youth(his photographic and cinematographic work, allegedly.)
I’m a big fan of his edginess, and drug loser, whore banger chic.
I can see how his work garners tens of thousands of dollars for political kickbacks, I mean artistic talent and originality.

Oh, I don’t really see him as a Futurist, unless you mean his future likely jail sentence?

While I’m still talking out my ass, don’t you see the hints of pointillism even though there are heavy elements of deconstructivism? Failing to consider this would render it an opposition to postmodernism.

Fuck, I can sell this shit for a lot more than political kickbacks. Gimme his contact lol.

Seriously, I did have a small art gallery owner/dealer as a client once quite a while back lmao. Omg, the moment he found out I had a mild education in art history, we got fucking wasted every other night while discussing ways to “market” his stuff by unknown artists while laughing our asses off. It came to the point where I would get so drunk I just recorded our conversations and passed them on to a copywriter. The bullshit we could pull out of our asses… Dude was from the US.

Yes, I’ve mentioned this before

Different cultures exist, and one successful policy enactment over here may not necessarily succeed within another social paradigm

I’d like to clarify, the reason I’m not particularly ecstatic about prostitution isn’t about the sex per se, I don’t inherently think sex is a bad thing. it’s about the type of clientele that may frequent such services, it’s about the aspect of trafficking and the negative aspects frequently associated with the sex industry.

I don’t like the idea of a married man with three kids who is in a monogamous relationship visiting hookers on the side. I don’t think that’s grounds to make prostitution illegal though as the type of man who is willing to do such a thing will likely be the type to buy sexual services regardless of legality.

This is very true, there are tribal populations wherein adolescents as young as twelve or thirteen start having sexual intercourse, that wouldn’t work out for virtually the rest of the developed world within modern era society… But it works for them. Societal dynamics change, and the cultural alterations associated with progression… Or regression aren’t always inherently negative, and expecting a past paradigm to eventuate a positive outcome decades and decades down the line when everything has changed is unrealistic.

I don’t agree with mollycoddling and safeguarding kids from everything society has on display, however I do think it is necessary to put more unscrupulous variables into context… And a 6,7,8 year old child isn’t ready to bear the brunt of the depravity present within the world regardless of whether we talk about modern era culture or past generations. A 6,7,8 year old doesn’t need to know what prostitution or pornography is…

You can’t suddenly get rid of all that is wrong with the world, and pretending to block everything out less you live in a non secular community is a recipe for failure. Good luck making friends when you know nothing about contemporary pop culture (and counterculture), modern trends, common activities associated with the demographic you’re a part of etc. Good luck transversing society independently, travelling independently etc.

For better or worse, you need to try integrate within society… This includes putting up with the elements you don’t like. You don’t have to conform entirely… But you can’t shun western society entirely less you wish to relocate and envelop yourself within an entire new lifestyle/non western society… Which isn’t as easy as it sounds…

I like your take on the art world, makes me laugh.
The art world is mental, and so are most of the contemporary artists. I went to art school, and worked in a few trendy contemporary galleries, installing exhibitions. The commercial side is generally more sane as they actually try to make money, rather than sponge off, on art grants. Nevertheless they are usually run by rich men’s wives as a social, vanity project, many are tax write offs, never make much profit despite turning over quite a bit of $.
Massive corruption and rorts in the contemporary galleries. They were also dominated by the Gay Mafia.
