There is no place that I said there’s an epidemic of violence. I never said this amounted to terrorism and the NSBA didn’t say that either. They asked that the threats of violence be treated the same as hate crimes and terrorism. Will that happen? I don’t know as nothing has happened yet. Merrick Garland’s memo says nothing about terrorism. Why does there have to be an epidemic of violence before something gets done? Threats are also a crime and there are people quitting these posts because they’re scared they’re going to get hurt. In multiple links there are reports of boards being obstructed from doing their jobs for which they volunteered for. As a parent and a tax payer I’d like these boards to be able to do their jobs. Pretty simple.
What has happened as it often does is that certain segments of the media have made a mountain out of a molehill and people like you have bought it hook, line and sinker. Maybe this molehill will become a mountain if Garland takes things beyond the scope of what he’s supposed to be doing. I’ll wait and see if that happens before passing judgement.
I suspect, though I could be wrong, that foreigners, particularly in the Anglosphere, pay attention to what goes on in America, because trends that start here are often exported all over.

I’m not a violent person myself. However I feel it takes huge nerve to make pornography, even that depicted in illustrations, with nine- and ten-year old characters, available in schools. Just what kind of person writes such a story and what kind of people make it available in schools? Are they using reason and caution to begin with? They’re actually aggressors and I wonder what they’re doing in their positions. What about the epidemic of teacher-on-student sexual abuse in the past decade or so?
These are issues that can make parents infuriated and I now have chosen homeschooling, something I never dreamed of doing.
There are people who have scoffed at the concept of “common good.” Well there’s a reason why parents wan their to be a common good, forking over tax dollars, and trusting school personnel with their children. That trust is finished.

They call it obstruction, when in reality they are being held to account for not doing their job well, or being inherently dishonest. They don’t really want feedback from the public, especially if it doesn’t agree with their plans. They see these meetings as a rubber stamp for their policies, just a formality. How dare those plebs have an opinion.
Correct. Similar stuff has seeped in over the past decade. It all comes down from the top, government or public servants and is in no way a grass roots movement coming from the parents. No one wants these changes or is asking for them.
