That wasn’t their job. People were to fly out on their own. It’s at the last minute things changed with the unforeseen collapse of Kabul as quickly as it happened. And that was unforeseen by those very same generals.
People have been fairly safe once they made it inside the perimeter of the Kabul airport, right? Would the entrance gate/checkpoint at Bagram been less susceptible to suicide bombers or terrorist attacks? Or, is the big benefit of keeping Bagram online that it would have sped up the process of getting planes and people in the air?

Isnt that SOP for any major power when they are done with large scale military operations far from home? Its too expensive to transport the weapons systems out of country, and we have no where to store it all so we just leave it or sell to war profiteers. According to plan, most of the family / house guests make it to the designated area where l have decided to protect them with my firearms.
A couple did not make it before l locked the door, but l have hollered for them to find a safe space. Should be able to rescue them later.

And here is the thing, even if we gave the Taliban $85 billion dollars to buy weapons, they could not get the kind and quality we left them. So it’s even worse.

Really bad. We’ll start to see the images today. Katrina actually managed to miss New Orleans and still messed it up really badly, but Katrina was massive. Ida was much smaller, but LA took a direct hit. The southern islands of LA are probably scoured, razed to the ground. LePlace had incredible flooding. The death toll will rise and it’s going to get ugly. It was a cat 4 when it hit. We won’t know how bad until today, but my prediction is its bad.
