Count me as another 5/3/1 trainee who would like to see the rest of these phases. Monday makes 20w out from a comp for me, and I’d really dig using Wendler’s programming straight into the meet.
I say move on…I thought the idea of offering a 20 week program was fascinating. My guess is that when the next 15 weeks are offered, it will be at a cost. This is a business and he has gotten a lot of people hooked. I understand that…I also understand that I’m not going to pay to see what the 15 weeks are. If you are on this site, you know how to work out, you know what to do. Man up, use your common sense and start lifting. You don’t need the Wendler marketing machine to sell you a product to do this.

My position is not one of “oh I need someone to program for me”, as you allude to, but of “I’d like to see what happens if Wendler programs 20 weeks”. I’ve been using 5/3/1 successfully for 2+ years, programming myself. I know how to program, I’m relatively good at it, I simply wanted to try a run as Wendler lays it out.
Honestly, and I may be in the minority, I’d throw a few bucks at the next 3 phases. I’ve bought the books and reaped great benefit from them…no reason to think the same wouldn’t happen if I coughed up a couple hours wages to see the rest of 1.1.
Of course, if it doesn’t show up, we’ll all be fine. But it’d be a lot cooler if it did.
Jim, you doing any seminars in Michigan any time in the future?

I no longer do seminars. You can reach so many more people on the Internet and make a bigger difference. There is nothing you can’t do in a seminar that you can’t do online.
Hugs. Can’t do hugs online.
Right on. I’ve never been to anything other than BJJ seminars. Our gym used to bring in some top level guys. What you cant get from the net is the exp. of sparing with world champions. Seminars for power lifting / strength training would be a whole different animal I guess.
I can do without the hugs. Its been 30 years and I haven’t got one yet, and I’m O.K.
For those that didnt see it on the main page, 1.2 is here
Edit; NICE ^^^^^^^^^^
Great to see the next 5 weeks, thanks Jim.
I have been using 5/3/1 for 5 months and been very happy with the progress. Is it correct that week 5 in both 1.1 and 1.2 are the deload weeks?
