I’m feeling pretty good at the moment, even though my strength is down quite a bit in the big lifts. I’m working back up slowly. I’m going to pay attention through the rest of this program, but it seems like maybe my lifts have dropped since I switched from a 3-day/week program to a 4-day/week program. With accessory days they both end up being 6-day/week programs, and it may just be coincidence, but it does line up with adding the extra strength day. We’ll see. Most likely it’s still a result of my extracurricular daily beverage intake…

Bench press was ok. I smashed those front squats. The first set felt so easy I had my wife come video the second set to see if they looked as easy as they felt, or to make sure I wasn’t screwing something up. I was not. This particular program I’m running has front squats - in some variation - throughout, as a supplemental lift. I’ve used them off and on for years, but have never left them in consistently. Man, do I feel like I’m making some good progress on them.
I don’t know what happened on the DB press myoreps. I gassed out hard and fast. Normally I can get a few sets of 5 after the fatigue set before I slowly leak off to a few sets of 4 or 3. This time I was shot immediately. Good session overall, though.
Headed to Colorado for elk season in 3 weeks…

Edit: forgot to log that I also did 16 minutes HASS (Hard-Ass Steady State) on the Echo bike. I just went as fast as I could maintain for as long as I could, or until my show ended…
