Best 'Worst' Films

Unsure why, but that reminds me of this old Hogan flick from the early 90’s.

Are you friends with Bobby De Niro, too?

For sure. Actually, there were a LOT of 80s movies that meet this criteria, including a half dozen Arnold films.

The Core is extra special to me being a geologist

Ebola Syndrome 1996
Ebola is the most disgusting disease, anyone who has a Youtube page, never search for an Ebola documentary, ever. I’ve tried everything but I still at least once a day get a damn related thumbnail of some guy with ebola on his face, and it’s the most disgusting image.
I was referring to a gore/slasher/comedy flick from Hongkong. Go check out the trailer. It’s violent yet silly as hell.

Yeah, sorry I caught that, I just went off on a tangent and forgot to preface it, my fault. I’m a huge fan of gore, especially outrageous ones like Peter Jackson’s and The Evil Dead franchise. (Of which I’d like to talk about the remake, but I’ll probably hold that off until a thread closer to it’s release, wouldn’t want to derail my own thread with something that should be enough for it’s own separate one.) I’ll keep Ebola Syndrome in my files, thanks for the recommendation!

Pauly Shore everything…but to name 2, Son in law and Bio Dome. Shit smothered in Angel Dust.

Oh christ Bio-dome is unforgettable, the only thing worse than Pauly Shore’s acting is that one goofy looking Baldwin brother’s ridiculous haircut.

Independence Day

God I love that shitty movie. I always watch it when it’s on TV lol.
Agreed. It wasn’t too terrible until Will Smith figured out how to fly the alien spaceship AND was able to dock the 50-year-old craft into a more modern alien mothership AND Jeff Goldblum was able to use human technology to implant a virus in the mothership. That was a bit too much literary license and suspension of reality, combined with the overall cheesiness of many of the scenes. Nevertheless, when Smith and Goldblum emerged from the burning wrecked alien spaceship smoking their cigars - epic win!

Speaking of the worst actor of all time… I actually liked the National Treasure movies lol.
I actually liked the first one! I think the other ones were pretty bad though.
Also liked National Treasure. I think the actual treasure that they found was over the top - how exactly did the Founding Fathers accumulate all that stuff? But the search for the treasure going after all those clues and all the historical facts were the best parts.

What about The Rock with Nick Cage and Sean Connery? The movie was bad, but who doesn’t like Cage and Connery together?

Every James Bond movie ever made.

Not to pull away from the thread context, but The Rock just reminded me of how underrated Ed Harris is, I can’t ever remember him having a legitimate leading role in a film as far back as I’ve seen his work (I might be mistaken, but if I am it’s still rare). He deserves it, he’s passionate, aggressive and he certainly makes a great villain.

Can I get an amen for Maximum Overdrive.

LOL dreads.

Hercules in New York

Credited as Arnold Strong, this was Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first film role. It is so bad I cannot tear myself away from it whenever it comes on. How does such an obscure movie ever come on, you ask? Well, it is a free on-demand film with my cable provider, so yes, I have to go there.

That acting is stilted, the editing choppy, Hercules gets into fights for no reason, and in places the music score makes me anticipate some vapid chick monotonously delivering the line “Gee. Hercules. It’s a good thing you showed up with that pizza. Me and my sorority sisters are so hungry.”

DOn’t forget them dubbing Arnold’s voice…awesome.
