GTFO

After listening to everything here I have to give it to Final Fantasy, well crafted musical scores that pair perfectly with the game-play. BOOM.

I do think video games deserve the title of founders of techno/electronic music, they were pumping out funky tones and deep beats while Paul Oakenfold and DeadMau5 were still rocking diapers.

gta san andreas

Great stuff so far guys, especially the Diddy Kong Racing, Okami, and Castlevania SoTN. Here’s mine!

- YouTube (Hands down best ever.)

I could do this shit all day.

Im late to this thread but I love the music from all the halo games especially Halo 2.

No Suikoden love? Some of the best games ever imo. Anyone have either of the first two they wanna sell?

Note : I can’t embed. Me tarded?

Note2: Nevermind. Me tarded.

I expected different from you based on your other musical tastes(not a flame or insult), but love the picks, especially Bloody Tears(song has been in almost every Castlevania game for a reason).

More music:

Gotta go for now more later.

OKAY OKAY some metal gear

Sad face @ 1:35

If we are talking old school, then-

My nintendo pick: Ninja Gaiden

My super Nintendo pick: Chrono Trigger

Not enough Metal Gear!!!

My friend is the composer for the Total War games, specifically Empire and Napoleon. Full orchestral scores with an 88 piece orchestra and a 44-piece choir. Next time I might be able to go to one of the recording sessions.

Awesome series of games. Immersive and infinitely re-playable AND awesome soundtracks.

Awesome atmosphere in this game

Strange no one has mentioned these series yet.

Killing Floor

I’m going old school-ish with Descent (mid-nineties). Early multiplayer 6 degrees of freedom.

Some of the music is downright creepy at times. Took me one semester of college to finish this whole game.

Hahah wow I remember that game. Descent ruled my life for a good month! I remember it coming with my first PC along with games like Hexen, Heretic, Terminal Velocity and some others. Damn I miss those games…

The original tony hawk pro skater had some awesomeee songs

Skullmonkeys for the old Playstation one definitely has the best video game soundtrack ever. Metal gear solid 3 follows that one very closely. As a number three, I pick GTA: Vice City.

Pokemon music from the gameboy games!

and of course final fantasy 7
