Actually just what I’ve been looking for…! I’ve been wanting to hire a guru as of late CT? Staley? ???. Being a personal trainer myself and training for over 17 years it’s hard to find someone you trust and is better than you (so to speak-someone to look a up to with more knowledge than you-a mentor -nearby- not in my area!) who better than Charles! I’ve used Charles methods before (EDT, Convergent Phase) to no avail, no slight on Charles, I take full responsibility. I am just at a loss as to why and would’ve liked to talk to him- but that wasn’t possible until now!? I’m wondering where I went wrong? I’ve used his methods on my clients and got good results?! I have been stuck muscle wise for about 3-5 years personally. My clients get good results, but I am stuck. Oh, I go up and down but no REAL progess. I diet for a photo shoot every year for a fitness magazine and that’s when you can REALLY tell if you’ve put any muscle on this last year, after the fat is gone - no "I’ve put on 10 pounds in the last 2 months (8 fat two muscle) that I always hear or read and think was that ALL muscle?! I’ve read Charles since MM2K. I even got his monthly
audio interview with MM2K- which I liked. “The best training program is the one you’re not on”- I just quoted that last week to a client of mine). At first I didn’t think much of Charles probably because I was pissed about Poliquin leaving 'who does this guy think he is!? then I realized (after a while)-“Ted if you know so much then why aren’t you making gains huh!?” I 'd say to myself. I was the one who was in need of an “adjustment”!-please accept my apology ;). Then a quote that he has recently repeated “frame goals around habits rather then on outcomes” that has come back to me that I am beginning to understand is plaguing me “what do I do with that!?”
I am VERY meticulous about my diet-I write down everything I eat EVERYDAY and calorie count, log my training-always. And I honour commitment. I take liberal amount of supplements (except prohormones) ANYTHING in hopes to make gains! I’m also lifetime drug free.
In a way I’m a little nervous it’s the table turned around for me- I hold my clients accountable for their diets, missed sessions, sleep habits, etc. (great training readiness questionaire by the way-helps alot!) and do the same for myself but NOW I would have someone holding me accountable- what I’m really looking for is a mentor/trouble shooter with more knowledge than myself. If that’s what YOU are looking for then I’m your man! If not I’ll just cry in my protein shake-ha!ha! (Not that suicidal)
