Best TeamStaley Give Away Yet!!

Why I deserve to be given two months coaching free?

Firstly I meet all the criteria, injury free, access to a comercial gym, have done EDT, and I research and read fitness material like it was water. I have never had the opportunity to meet an elite strength coach much less work with one. I’ve already invested in Staley’s Secrets of combat fitness and loved every page. A few years ago I lost 70lbs of fat and over the last three years have replaced it with 50lbs of muscle but I’m having troubles losing the last few percent. Also more muscle never hurts. I also need help improving my maxes for all my core lifts. Something that I know would happen if I worked with Staley. Lastly I’m a newly wed guy who just bought a house and funds are tighter than ever so this would be the perfect gift. Oh and one more thing any pertinent information I learn from having Staley as my coach I will definitely pass on to T-nation members. Please consider for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Thanks Charles and Julianne!

Sign me up, this would be an amazing opportunity to learn from the best. SIGN ME UP! Thanks for the chance.

Thanks for the good words Kyle-and Mike the Bear, since I am teamstaley I went to Charles and asked about Steve Cotter since I had not heard that rumor about what you posted. Charles said they had talked about doing a seminar possibly together and that is all I know of that. But enough about that-this thread is for those who want in the giveaway so keep up the good posts.-JULIANNE

AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!

Why now?? The doctors estimate another week and I can lift again… one week. That’s it.
And it’s one week too late, this is quite possibly the cruelest twist of fate I have encountered since joining T-mag (yay drama).

But then again, I won the EDT e-book in one of your give-aways a while back, so I guess I shouldn’t be TOO greedy, but dagnabit, I wish I was eligible for this.

Well anyways, best of luck to all of those that can be in for the draw, and to whoever wins, you had better not waste this.

Jules,

I have NOT tried Mr. Staleys’ Training programs, and believe I would be an even better candidate.

I gotta say I would be totally pumped to do this. I’m injury free, been lifting for about 8 years, weigh in at 200lbs 10-14 percent bodyfat depending on the availability of Krispy Kreme donuts and would be willing to give a hundred percent effort to both the training and diet. I don’t drink or smoke, plus I’ve got plenty of free time as I start college at the end of August. Only consideration is that I’ll be in transit from Texas, as I’ll be leaving military service in late July and won’t have training stability for the week prior to that, but other than that week I’ll hit the gym whenever you want me to.

i would love this opportunity to speak with charles,my reasons are basically to increase my knowledge in the field of strength and conditioning, you can only learn so much from a book.

Okay…my turn…

I’m not going to type some sob story…I’ve been interested in COach Staleys program for a while now…maybe two years. I never invested in anything like this previously because I never made a decision to go all the way with it. I’m the type of person who takes a long time to decide to do something…but when I DO decide to got for it…there is no stopping me. FOr the last year I decided to stop training wrong and do as experienced people say…I’ve gained about 30 pounds of muscle in that time and i’m not stopping now. NO WAY! I’d like this opportunity to expand my horizons…and to go all the way. I’ve subscribed to his newsletter for a while and I’ve always appreciated his wisdom. One of my favorite articles is “WHy I dont want to lift 400 lbs” (I can’t remember the title exactly). In it was not only lifting lessons, but life lessons as well. I’m always self improving and I really like Charles’ vibe in his methods (from what i can understand). His lessons always seem to translate into real life situations…making goals, wishes vs. wants (for example) I know I’m finally ready for this…and I’ll truly do it with all my being.

Oh yeah, I have a commericial gym membership…am in good shape (no problems)…and am ready to kick ass.

Uhhh…if I say I’m monetarily challenged, would that help? Cuz, I kinda am…:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

A great opportunity i would like to win. I’ve done several cycles of edt, regular and fatloss. i love the routine for it’s pure simplicity and ease in measuring results. laters pk

I need this becuase I’m curious of what a full body EDT type workout geared toward a sprinter will transfer into during an mini pre-season type of program right before the actual season starts.

I’ve hit a training wall… I have used EDT with some success, but things have stagnated. Some personalized training and attention would likely go a long way toward addressing this.

This is such a great idea. It’s a wonderful thing when people in the fitness industry give something back. This site has restored my faith! I am healthy and I work out in a good commercial gym. Although I am a relative newcomer, I can offer you dedication and commitment. You provide the knowledge and support and I will provide the hard work necessary to achieve results.

This would be awesome for me. I am injury free and work out in a commercial gym. I have not tried any of Charles Staley’s courses, though. Over the past 2 years, I’ve made considerable gains through committed dedication and the help of a friend who’s a trainer. I started at 180 lbs and 22% bf and am now 202lbs and 15.5% bf. My goal is to reach 210 - 215 at around 10% bf and this program could kick my ass in the right direction.

UPDATE: ok boys and girls this is pretty good so far and we have decided to make it a bit more interesting. How’s about I pick 2 of you instead and this way who ever wins will be even more motivated to succeed as you will ‘sort of compete’ against each other. Maybe at the end I will even come up with a prize. -And hey, even if you have won from me before you can still do this. Go for it-Julianne

I would love to get that oppurtunity. Staley for me is the best coach in the business, he’s holistic, down to earth, and knows his stuff. If I wasnt living abroad I would have attended his seminars long ago.

Please-no need to PM me offering presents, etc. (LOL) Just post here and I will pick from here on Monday-Julianne

Actually, I will take some advice from Chris Shugart-

Sometimes you just have to let someone else make training and diet decisions for you. Call it the ultimate in proximity bias, but most people assume they know what’s best for them when they really don?t.

I will assume Coach knows best, tell me when I start.

Hey gang,
As of yet, 36 posts, thats terrific (for me). WTF. If TC said they were giving away free testosterone refrigerator magnets, there would be 600 posts by now. I’ve tried to get in on Charles’s offers before and missed the deadline, but not this time. I have his “15 tips for success”, printed, and at the forefront of my school notebook. I read one almost every day. Allright here’s the deal, Charles respects and is respected, by all the fitness gods I respect. His attitude is infectious, and he’s giving away the best deal of the summer. I’ve tried EDT and loved it. It is one of those perfect programs, self regulating, self correcting and PRODUCTIVE. What’s more it’s fun. This is an unbelieveable offer, stop viewing this post and get on board, now. I have a feeling that if this post generates the enthusiasm it deserves, ther’ll be more than one lucky winner.
Thank you TeamStailey(Is Julianne sp? hot?)

Another Canadian throwing his hat into the mix.

Now on to the big question, Why choose me?

This is really tough to answer as everyone has one reason or another that would make them an excellent canidate. I believe I am good canidate because I really need the help and I feel with the right coaching I am in a position to make very noticable gains. I am a 19 year old male who has been training for about 2 years. I have just gotten over a digestive condition(related to some antibiotics the doctor had prescribed me ironically) which led me to loose a dangerous amount of weight. When I started lifting I was a “massive” 130 pounds; a year and a half later I had managed to get myself up to 145 while dropping a good chunk of fat. When I got sick, however, my eating really suffered and by time they figured out the antibiotics where the problem and got me off them I had dropped down to 124 pounds. Needless to say this left me feeling pretty shitty and for the last 2 months I have been trying to gain back the lost strength and weight with no real luck. I have been trying to increase how much I eat on a weekly basis and have been sticking religiously to my lifting routine but I am just feeling lost at this point. I will not give up but I have sort of lost confidence with myself as far as training goes. I admire Staley’s work yet am not sure if i could properly implement his theories on my own. I really feel that something like this is what I need to get me as focused as I can be on that goal and with the support of someone as knowlegable as Chris maybe I can gain my confidence back in my training. This is where I currently stand, at a weight that is probably to low to be healthy and trying to go up.

Thanks

Julianne,

I consider myself an intelligent guy. I graduated a little over a year ago from a small engineering college (it?s about as geeky as you can get, think Caltech, just as small but with even less women? good looking women? Forget about it!) I was surrounded by ?men? who could not tell you the difference between a penis and a vagina much less differentiate between a dumbbell and a barbell. Granted, it was an engineering school so what did I expect?

Well, I had a couple of choices, I could spend four years of my life while in college stuffing my brain silly with all you ever wanted to know about 0?s and 1?s (I did a focus in computer engineering) all the while watch my testosterone level drop and my penis shrivel away until I become one of those peeps at my school, or I could try and fight back the system. Well, suffice to say I chose the latter of the two options. Soon after starting school, I went on a search for a sport (I did XC, wrestling, and track while in high school). Luckily for me, there were colleges close by who offered club sports. I checked out the rugby team and instantly fell in love with the sport. I also picked up weight lifting, having found this site a year or two earlier. I was insane. On top of my ridiculous school workload, I still managed to play rugby, lift three or four times a week and go on runs/sprints/do plyometrics. On top of that, while I studied abroad in Australia, I also picked up Pankration (think UFC) and since I have been back, transferred over to Muay Thai.

Now I work at an engineering firm. Every meeting I go to, I survey the room, and odds are 90% of the attendees are male and 90% of those males are as wide as they are tall. It is disgusting! These men are also the same ones who go out and eat hamburgers for lunch everyday, who does not exercise at all, and who sits in front of their computers day after day! They are walking health-risks on top of convincing cases of how males will eventually evolve (or degenerate) into walking pigs like those in Animal Farm! My attitude from college carries through; I will NOT allow myself to become one of those ?men?.

So a bachelor?s degree and two concussions later, here I am working for an engineering firm who?s paying for my Masters, also in computer engineering. I continue my lifting regime, waking up at 5AM, (I am now working off of the Mutation Series by Christian Thibaudeau, keeping a log, and counting my calories) along with Muay Thai, street basketball, some running mixed in with good ol? interval workouts. I am constantly being educated by professionals such as yourself posting on T-Nation.

I have a solid foundation not only in terms of experience in the weight room and as an athlete, but perhaps more importantly, in my mental capacity to push my body to its limits. I am far from my prime and know with even more guidance my body can output even higher performance. As an athlete, I have always abided by three qualities: discipline, dedication, and tenacity and will continue to do so for as long as I live. Thank you for your consideration.
