Best Sports Drink Besides Surge

After reading articles and testimonials, I understand Surge is the best.

Is there another sports drink besides Powerade and Gatorade that I don’t know about? that conteins protein and is sold in major stores?

Apparently “Accelerade” is one but I have never seen it?

I just hate the idea of losing muscle during long cardio sessions and Surge is not always available.

anybody?

They don’t sell it in stores (i don’t think), but i use cytomax as my sports drink when playing basketball. its a good replacement next to the gatorades of the world, but doesn’t have the hfcs.

No protein but thanks for the reply. I guess there arent that many.

Accelerade is like Gatorade with a novel amount of protein. The same company makes Endurox, which is more like Surge. I used a few sample packs of Endurox before I bought a tub of Surge, it tasted good(sort of like an orange creamcicle) and was easily digested, but Surge wins in terms of value for money, so I went that route when time came to buy a larger container.

Also, I’m not 100% but I think Gatorade either has a protein + carbs product out, or will soon.

Just drink gatorade, unless you’re doing massive amounts of cardio you’re unlikely to get into muscle catabolism unless your diet isn’t in order.

I play volleyball for about 3 hrs at a time, I’m sure to sip on surge doing it.

if I were doing 30 mins on a bike I wouldn’t be worried about it

I save the Surge for the gym and when I do my jiu-jitsu I drink a mix of Gatorade and Grow whey. I personally like the taste of the orange powder (powder doesn’t have the HFCS) mixed with the Grow. I use 1 1/2 scoops of Gatorade and 1 scoop of whey.

It’s certainly no substitute for Surge but since I train twice a day sometimes (considering jiu-jitsu as training) I don’t want to take Surge twice…don’t really want the 640 calories from 2 servings!

…dude…gatorade powder and plain whey? Why do you need something prepackaged and mixed for you?
