Best Powerlifting Program to Gain Strength ?

For something like this it really depends on the person. I have had great success with programs that other people have had no luck with at all. As well I have had no luck with programs that other people have made huge gains with. So it really varies from lifter to lifter, but some programs I would recommend trying are

  1. The Cube method
  2. 5/3/1
  3. Sheiko
  4. Smolov
  5. Russian Power
  6. Lilliebridge Training Method

These are all great programs that have been tested everywhere and have had a ton of great reviews! Hope this helps man, and good luck with your goals, you’ll get them before you know it!

how old are you?

Here is a forum that I made on various powerlifting routines.

There are literally hundreds of ways to set up your programming.

I would suggest using a template, as written, until you figure out what your body needs on an individual basis. It takes months to figure that out though, so don’t come back here after a week with a thread about how you radically changed a proven program because you thought you had a way to get there faster.

Set specific goals for 3 months from now that are easy FOR YOU to achieve. (A good example for a brand new beginner, who has never touched a weight before, is 10 lbs a month on a lift with acceptable form.)

For the love of all that is holy, please do not fight your body. If your knee hurts, or your shoulder is messed up, you need to take it easy or go on the 15 day DL before it becomes the lifetime DL.

If you find yourself on the 15 day DL often, you need to examine your form and programming/exercise selection.

I highly recommend that you learn to stretch and warm up properly, and pay attention to things like your joints (rotator cuff), and your general physical preparedness. AVOID SERIOUS INJURY LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Anyway, here is the thread. I hope you enjoy.
