I just did a google image search (rather long one too! almost 2 minutes!) and found an old Bonanza pic. I guess his ears were sort of big. My ears are tiny though, so all ears look big to me.
I do remember watching that made for TV movie in the 80s about his youth and how he never wanted cut his hair and how he used to pee his bed. Really.
