Best Mcdonald's Post Training Meal?

I don’t get the hype around McDonald’s.

To me it plain fucking sucks. You only go there if you are poor.
Petermus wrote:

If you hit up mcdonalds get two mcdoubles and stack those bitches. I’ve stacked 3 on one bun. You’d be surprised how much better it tastes when you stack two or more, it actually becomes a decent juicy burger.
That’s one good solution.

My “safe” McDonald’s meal if I have to eat on the road is two grilled chicken snacks, without cheese and sauce. Essentially a grilled chicken breast with lettuce and a tortilla.

Want to gorge on calories? Go to a steakhouse and order a 1 kg T-Bone with double serve of potato and bread on the side. Can’t afford that? Visit your butcher on the way home.
Im going to bet you arent in great shape.
That would be a sure bet BONEZ, as I have already posted several pictures of myself, described my body’s appearance and even uploaded a ridiculous bicep pose. What you guys don’t seem to understand is that I’m not obsessed with myself and my appearance. I don’t give a shit what my body looks like, I just want it to be able to rapidly progress in strength/speed/co-ordination/endurance/balance and useful skills such as boxing, Jujitsu, sprinting, marksmanship and bushcraft/survival.

And as I asked before, isn’t this thread about junk food as opposed to who’s got low bodyfat% comp/big muscles and who hasn’t?
No. Its about what people’s recommendations are for calorically dense burger meals. Did the OP mention the word “healthy” even once? If you think hamburgers are junk, then I feel bad for you. And youd also probably be upset by the fact that some people have perfect lipid profiles, regardless of diet, due to genetics. And answer this honestly, how will eating fast food on the rare occasion have harmful effects long term?

Youre just projecting your own narrow mindedness on people who enjoy eating tasty food every now and again. No one gives a single shit if you think fast food is disgusting. If you do harbor such beliefs, why even open a thread about it? Do you take pleasure in causing yourself disgust?
1. No it’s about a ‘post training McDonalds Meal’. McDonalds is junk food.

 2. If you think highly processed beef, dripping with saturated fats and excessive Omega 6 levels, covered in Cholesterol sauce and sandwiched between plastic cheese and two/three pieces of starchy, white bread/bun you need a reality check.

“answer this honestly, how will eating fast food on the rare occasion have harmful effects long term?”

 • No it’s not. Neither is the occasional cigarette but it gets to be a habit. BTW, you can train your mind to do just about anything. If you stop eating junk food after a while, not only will you no longer crave it, but the smell of it will make you feel sick. I trained my mind to enjoy oysters even though a year ago they made me want to throw up.
 1. No, other peoples’ lipids profiles don’t upset me.

“If you do harbor such beliefs, why even open a thread about it?”

 • I didn’t expect to see burger porn. In fact, I expected to see ‘dumbest thread of the month’ type comments(silly me).

Lastly, another indicator of ‘results’ for LiquidMercury and others: stick your tongue out and look in the mirror. That white stuff is thrush(candida). Enjoy your burgers.

According to a fat person, maybe. For someone looking to put on weight who has a hard time doing so, not really.

This isnt a complete thought, keep your sentence to 8 words or fewer maybe.

Who the fuck is advocating the habitual consumption of McDonalds. I specifically said 'on the rare occasion. That is the exact opposite of ‘habit’. I am saying that it is ok to eat greasy food occasionally. You are saying that occasionally eating greasy food is habit forming. That is oxymoronic.

Enjoy your overly restrictive lifestyle coupled with your sub-par physique.

5 double cheeseburgers post workout for me lately, try to keep it to 15 a week … short term measure to keep the scales moving!

No candida here. Do you really think the occasional burger is going to give someone candida? Again you seem to think that your goals aren’t reachable with the enjoyment of the simple fast food meal on occasion. Since you haven’t come close to reaching your goals maybe try this route. Who knows maybe it’ll even work for you. I can be stronger, faster, more agile, and more capable while still enjoying an occasional burger from a fast food joint. I also find it ironic that you claim you’re here for the same reasons that powerlifters are in search of strength, yet powerlifters are notorious for having terrible diets (this one excluded).

“According to a fat person, maybe. For someone looking to put on weight who has a hard time doing so, not really.”

 • Crap is crap.

“Who the fuck is advocating the habitual consumption of McDonalds”

 • No one. Why do you ask?

“I am saying that it is ok to eat greasy food occasionally. You are saying that occasionally eating greasy food is habit forming. That is oxymoronic.”

 • You have difficulty with comprehension. I’m saying that you may intend to eat greasy food occasionally but it is very likely that the occasions will become more frequent thus you will no longer be eating it occasionally but regularly. No contradiction there.

“This isnt a complete thought, keep your sentence to 8 words or fewer maybe.”

 • Congratulations! You found a typographical error. I left out ‘is not crap then’(you need a reality check). I understand you have difficulty comprehending long compound sentences. This is because you were taught to read/write with the ‘whole language system’ as opposed to phonics. Sentences of eight words or less would make it impossible to express many concepts in an efficient and meaningful way. Try rewriting my statement about hamburgers in sentences of eight words or less and you will see what I mean.

“Enjoy your overly restrictive lifestyle coupled with your sub-par physique.”

 • My lifestyle is not overly restriction. My diet is Spartan because I only put into my body what it needs. Food is essential fuel for the body not something to give your taste buds an orgasm.

I don’t see how eating McDonalds/fast food occasionally will help me with my goals. It would take months of making myself sick and forcing down something that tastes and smells aweful to train my mind to accept then like it.

I’m not a powerlifter(obviously), although I do incorporate low rep lifting into my training week. I said I imagine I’m here for the same reasons they are, i.e. to learn about and discuss strength training and strength training lifestyle.

I continually get comments about my ‘sub-par physique’ for some reason. My measurement of strength training results relate to how much weight I can lift and how many times. An unusual approach perhaps.

2 double cheeseburgers, throw away 1 bun and make a 4 beef pattie.

Wow. I looked at this thread about a week ago and thought it was amusing.

Now, it’s comedic gold. Seriously. You can’t make this shit up.

Now, back on topic.

Personally, I am a White Castle or Wendy’s guy but if I roll through a MickeyD’s I am usually rocking 3-4 Double Cheeseburgers (the McDouble is for bitches and it’s worth the extra 20 cents) and 2-3 small fries (depends on the quantity of burgers).

I then pull the top bun off the cheese burgers and cram as much of the french fries on top of them as I can and add a packet of Ketchup and a packet of Mustard to each.

I then chow the burgers at the rate of about 4 bites a piece and eat the left over fries by the handful.

Oh, and I get a large cup of water to wash it all down because I would hate to consume the empty calories a soda would contribute to an otherwise excellent meal.

Where do you live? I had White Castle in NY and it sent me straight to the bathroom (TMI ya ya). I’ve never went back, in NY or otherwise.

Where did I even mention the words ‘Big Mac’ let alone suggest or state that eating one would cause thrush? What I DO assert is that regularly eating starchy white bread/buns and lots of fructose will encourage candida to colonise your gut/tongue.

Nice fantasy sword mini-Conan. How old are you, 12? Why don’t you play Masters of the Universe with BONEZ? He can be Skeletor and you can be He-man.

Post workout meals consist of maybe as high as 6 meals/week (out of almost 50 meals/week), so potentially just over 10% of your meals are “junk”. Are you really this strict? You think that sticking to ~90% of your diet is bad going? lol

Do you avoid eggs because of those “disgusting” saturated fats (of which around 30% of the fat is saturated)?

Do you avoid milk?

Beef?

Nuts?

Heck even OATS have saturated fats in them…you gonna avoid them too?

It really makes me sick this non-sense propaganda from the “health” media. It’s as backwards as the low fat phase people have been on for decades.

Didn’t you suggest eating a steak with potatoes and bread instead, though? Wouldnt that bread be starchy/white/full of fructose?

7 of us went to McDonald’s on Sunday after a weekend of partying in Atlantic City. The big macs and chicken nuggets were delicious. So was the McFlurry I had. Everyone one us make between 80K to 120K each.

I live in MN now and they just built one in the town I live it.

I grew up in Chicago and actually worked at one over the summer when they first opened it when I was in HS. It was awesome. We only had to pay the tax on what we ate so we cooked up huge meals.

I get that comment from people about getting the shits every once in a while. I have never had that problem. It’s kind of like Skyline Chili, I guess. You either love it or hate it.
