Hopefully the mods don’t mind this video, it’s absurdity should counteract the fact that it is technically an advertisement.

Damn,… I remember trying to drink an entire serving of the old Weider Mega Mass 2000 at once. Downed it right before heading out with a few friends for the evening. Not 10 minutes later I was in the back seat of my buddy’s old car, and I truly thought that I was going to die if I didn’t reach a bathroom - lol.

lolâ?¦.in the 70â??s Hoffman used to have a product with the consistency of sawdust…leaving clumps of dry powder caught in your throat

Liquid amino fuel from TwinLab - tasted like a big spoonful of PUKE!

And the old Weider protein shake that came out of the blender with the consistency of marshmallow, and tasted like ass… lol…

Remember Hot Stuff? Didn’t that supposedly have d-bol in it or something?

haha… good memories. I too chugged a serving of Mega Mass 2000 because Lou Ferrigno told me to on the giant dog-food style package directions. BUT: do you remember “NEW” “SUPER” Mega Mass 2000? The secret ingredient that made it “new” and “super” was “OKG”. I gained at least 5 pounds thanks to OKG. Or, it could have been I was 18 and eating lots. Either way. Thank you Weider and Lou Ferrigno! Thank you.

At that particular moment, doesn’t it feel as the worst pain in your life? I hate having to go to the bathroom when one isn’t available. It’s pure agony.

Food.

While Steak does seem like the easy choice here. Ground beef is much cheaper, also it’s probably a little higher in fat content depending on your preferred cut of steak, so technically, Ground Beef would be Option #1. More calories Per Dollar. And if your like 90% of the people on this or any site, money is a consideration.

Now a local grocery store near me just ran a special, apparently they have it pretty regularly. 49 Cents per pound for chicken quarters. Thats legs and thighs on the bone. Advantages, more dark meat, dark meat = higher fat content so it’s profile is a little closer to ground beef than a chicken breast is. Advantage #2, it’s on the bone, overcooking a boneless chicken breast is a common occurance because you don’t want to eat raw chicken. On the bone gives you a much better chance of not drying it out, also it tastes better. Advantage #3 49 Cents per pound, ok you may not be able to find that deal, but if you keep your eye out youmay find some cheap chicken on the bone. I bought 20lbs of it for $9, I vaccum sealed 3 quarters in each bag and had 8 bags worth of chicken, 2 for me 1 for the wife.

Once we went through the second bag I was kicking myself for not buying 60 Lbs of chicken. it would have cost 30 bucks and I would have been set for 2 months worth of protein. Couple different marinades and you can eat it every day. $30 worth of steak is going to get you through a week TOPS, Maybe only 3 days.

So to recap, Two large chicken quarters and a large sweet potatoe for a dinner. 1/2 Chicken comes in at about 1,000 Calories. and a large sweet potatoe is going to add another 200 Calories. So if your eating 4 or 5 meals thats 1200 calories ina delicious and good for you dinner. And it will cost you about $2 not including a marinade for the chicken. You could also just do a rub or just salt and pepper, but for a $2 dinner, I’m thinking you can go with a marinade.

I do the Firemans BBQ marinade, it’s pretty cheap and pretty dang good. Depending on how much you need to make, just double or triple this recipie. 1 cup Vinegar, 1/2 cup veg oil, 1 can beer, 1 tablespoon Salt, 1 tablespoon Pepper, 2 Tablespoons Poultry seasoning, 1 egg. Beat it up good and pour in a bag or bowl with your chicken and let sit overnight in the fridge. If you cook the chicken on the grill, the oil in the mix will give you flare ups. You gotta watch it, this recipie is “designed” to be done on a BBQ pit where there is a lot of distance between the charcoal and the food. So flare ups don’t matter. Just keep a water spray bottle on you and keep checking it, you will get to be able to hear the flare ups. Burnt skin sucks so this is just a cooking tip.

Hope this helps you in your quest for mass. And If you can afford to eat NY Strip steaks everyday, do it, and invite my ass over for dinner.

Marinade sounds awesome but why the egg?

I’m not 100% sure, I just know all the fireman BBQ recipies call for it. I think it has something to do with the protein and fat emulsifying so the marinade doesn’t separate as much as if it was just oil and vinegar.

Ok, Using said chicken I mad a nice huge pot of homeade chicken and rice soup. Simple, Easy, Loaded with protein and carbs, tastes better and less sodium than canned soup. Also cheaper.

Fill pot with water, Pull out 3 chicken quarters and throw them in the pot, boil it for 30 minutes or so. Pull the chicken, let it cool, strip the meat off and put it on a cutting board. Chuck the bones back in the water, keep boiling the hell out of them. Cut the chicken up into bite size peices and set aside in a bowl or something. Start 2 cups of rice going in your rice cooker.

After another 30 minutes on the bones, take out the big peices and then dump the stock into a large bowl through a strainer, or into another pot. Add the rice, chicken and a bag of frozen mixed veggies. At this point start seasoning it, add chicken or beef base, throw in a bullion cube or two, salt pepper etc… whatever you like. I used a little beef base and some poultry seasoning and some salt and pepper. Add some more water if you need to at this point and then just simmer it for another 10 minutes or so.

I ate two huge bowls last night and the wife had one. I had another for lunch today and we froze 4 quarts of it in ziplock freezer bags. The whole pot cost less than $5 to make and I will get like 6-7 meals off it. Did I mention it tastes damn good?
