My sister wants to lose some weight and look as she did before her two kids were born. Theres so many diets on t-mag, and most ive done, but i dont have any experience to what works best for women. She wants me to draw up a exercise/diet for her. So this questions for all the women out there. Which T-mag diet out there has given you the best sucess for losing fat?
It really doesn’t take a lot to learn how to eat correctly without following some sort of diet plan.
She should be eating plenty of fruits and vegetables. In fact, she should aim for 4-6 small meals throughout the day that combine vegetables and some fruit with protein sources. She should eat protein with each meal (beef, chicken, fish, eggs, cottage cheese, low-fat or fat free cheese, yogurt, protein powder and raw nuts).
She should avoid anything in a package (unless it’s oatmeal or whole-grain brown rice) and stick to whole foods and natural foods.
If everyone ate more vegetables and lean protein sources, they would be much healthier and achieve their fitness goals quicker.
If she can avoid the bread, pasta, sugary snacks, fat-free crap snacks, cookies, fast food, fried food, pizza, ice cream, etc., she would lose weight very quickly! And she won’t have to follow some wild diet plan that may work in the short term, but not in the long term.
It’s all about learning proper eating habits for more than just a quick fix.
Glassman: if you’re a longtime forumite, you know that there is no such thing as a “female only” diet.
Nate Dog pretty much provided you the basic rundown for not only women but men, too. Just have her read up on any/all of John Berardi’s articles. Look them up in the FAQ. Another good one to read is “Foods that Make You Look Good Nekkid”.
I have yet to follow a “T-Mag diet”. I just eat what I please and that usually means just food. I find that by eating “clean” is the best way to go for me; that and following a physically active lifestyle has allowed me to maintain a decent level of bodyfat.
Another habit to begin is to create a food log. Have her log in everything/anything she consumes during the day. I would have her begin now and in two weeks, take a look and see what’s missing and what she could discontinue from her diet. Modify accordingly thereafter. I betcha with just a few modifications for diet and beginning sometype of workout/training/physical activity she will begin to notice some serious changes (all good).
