Easy for me w/o a doubt the best experience,

H2O, Murphys Law, Sick of it All - 96 (?) Coney Island High

Others

H20, Fenix TX, Less Than Jake, Rollins Band, Fenix TX (01) Warped Tour

Wu Tang, Ramones, (96) Lallapalooza.

Korn, Biohazard, Rev Horton Heat, House of Pain (94) Roseland Ballroom
Those shows sound awesome. And man, I love me some Rev. Horton Heat. They used to play all the time in Deep Ellum in Dallas.
Rev is awesome! Liquor In The Front, Poker In The Rear!
They were great, Ill admit other than hearing of them I had no idea about them. But man they blew my mind at the time and became a fan ever since. Biohazard were kind of dicks, but they still put on a good show, But the Rev, and fucking Korn were amazing. This was Korns first show in NY, never heard them or of them, but when they play blind for the first time it was downright scary. TBH I know most of the crowd never heard of them because most of us were like WTF is a Korn, but man for the time it was a fucking great set.

I know that rap-metal isnt looked upon too fondly but there were a few bands that I liked a ton, I loved Korn and still do.
Reverend Horton heat is badass!!! I saw korn a few times, They were a pretty good show. Speaking of new metal, Did you noticed the lead singer from coal chamber(which sucked donkey dick) joined some younger guys to form devil driver? Devil driver is fucking great!

The Moody Blues - had an entire orchestra behind them and it was an open air concert. Also went to see Pete Townsend when he was doing “Psycho-derelict”. Something went wrong with the accompanying visual display and he was pissed. He ended up giving up on the Psycho-derelict show and went full throttle with old Who stuff.

The Moody blues put on an mind blowing show, seen them four or five times. Another great and surprising band is Chicago.

-Deftones opening for Pantera opening for Black Sabbath in Toronto.

-Primus opening for Rush, Geddy and Les performing a bass solo together, mind blown…

-Bad Religion. Just a really good show
Were you at the White Zombie, Pantera, Deftones show in 96 at Copps?

Deftones were and still are the loudest back up band I ever heard.

Claypool and Geddy, wow.

The greatest show I ever went to was The Who at exibition stadium in 82. 68,000 people.
We got there late but was able to witness Joe Jackson get hit in the face with a hotdog first song in lol. Needless to say he was not pleased and left.

Best sounding show is hands down SRV and Jeff Beck at Cobo Hall in Detroit. Not one sour note the whole show. Testy will back me up on this one.

Weirdest set up was Yes and their revolving stage. Trevor Rabins solo was incredible. Steve Howe was to old to really give er’.

Most nostalgic is easily my first. Rush. Dropped two hits of purple mini-mic and tripped the whole time. My one buddy left cause he turned green after the first flashpots went off at the beginning of 2112 . We rubbed that one in for years lol.

I’m so gratefull that I was able to see Pantera before Dime was murdered by that peice of shit.

Two shows I had a chance to go see but didn’t and I’ve been kicking myself ever since were Queen in 80 and Pink Floyd in 90 something. Queen more so.

To many shows to pick a greatest really.

Before this thread opened GWAR came to my mind…and yeah, their songs pretty much are so-so, but the concert experience is unforgettable.

Henry Rollins & The Beastie Boys together in concert remain one of my favorite memories.

X2 on Gwar. I took my boy to see LOG a few years ago and Gwar was the first of two back up bands but the second band were a no show so Gwar got to play an extended set which was fucking awesome.

Best One I Missed: Talking Heads, Stop Making Sense, 1984 Tour. I had tickets to what would have been my first concert and by all accounts one of the the greatest tours of all time, but pulled some major shit and the folks gave my tickets to my sister as a punishment.
If I could see the Talking Heads, or even just David Byrne, I would be a very happy man.

I saw Primus at the Filmore in Denver a few years back, and watching Les Claypool rape the electric cello was an experience.

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum at the Gothic, also in Denver, a couple years ago, was nearly as touching.

I worked concert security all through college, so I met many big name bands, and fought with many of their drunk fans. I can’t say I generally enjoyed it. Getting hit in the face has its novelty, but it wears off.

Good memory, you are right that was a great show. I’he seen Jeff Beck five times and every one was amazing and totally different than the others.

That’s funny about that Who show. When I saw the Who in 81 Eddy Money was booed off the stage and when the Clash sang “should I stay or should I go?” 70000 people shout GO!

Talk about missing shows, I was on limo bus going to see Metallica and kid rock when my wife had an anxiety attack and we had to bail.

Jesus, the Who is awesome, but crapping all over the Clash? I’d have given my left nut to see them live.

No. But I wish I had been!

Les and The Ged was unspeakably awesome. Two “best of all time”-class bassists at the top of their game, with completely different styles, playing in perfect harmony. Geddy and Les are really good friends and you can tell they spend a lot of time jamming together.

Seen U2 twice in Australia and Coldplay a few months ago,

the U2 360 Show was fucking amazing

Austin City Limits 2012. 3 full days of music/2nd hand pot smoke.

I haven’t seen either, but I’m surprised the Rolling Stones and Bruce Springstein haven’t been mentioned. Both legendary for their shows.

Frank Zappa and Stray Cats tied for 1st place. Don’t laugh…

Oh oh oh!!!

I saw my very first concert when I was in grade 6 and it was… THE ROLLING STONES WOoOOOoOO.

Very awesome.
I remember being at a halloween party a few weeks after and doing this like Mick Jagger impersonation concert for my friends and it was such a hit…

I went down to Calgary and saw them again on October 28th, 2005.

THEY DID PAINT IT BLACK

It was exciting because they didn’t do paint it black at their first concert. Even my brother stood up to clap and whatnot. That’s a big deal since he’s not really a stander/clapper/woohooer.

Fun times were had by all that night. I still have the Calgary Herald from the day after the concert with Mick on the front.
It’s in my special drawer

a few of my favorite shows
the Outlaws
Unknown Hinson (if you get the chance GO!!!)
Lecherous Nocturn opening for Deicide
Drink Small(real blues)
Rufus w/ Chaka Khan, Eagles w/ Joe Walsh, and the Rolling Stones
Girlschool opening for Deep Purple
Motorhead
Nile
and
2nd Monsters of Rock at Donnington Park - More, Blackfoot, Slade, Blue Oyster Cult, Whitesnake, and AC/DC on their Back in Black tour

Night of the living shred. All Shall Perish was headlining it.

I lost both back pockets from my jeans, a boot sole, and numerous shirt tears. The pit crew was, of course, out of control.

Danzig. 1989 Not of This World Tour My first concert.

All this thread did for me is make me incredible fucking jealous.

Damn…

I just checked out Devil Driver, are those his kids???
