Best Beers!

La Fin du Monde. It’s an IPA from Quebec at 9% ABV, but with a deceptively smooth taste.

I’ve become kind of a beer snob lately and this is what I’ve enjoyed (tried some of these because of the Beer Trials book):

Stella Artois
Arcadia Cereal Killer (barley wine, awesome stuff)
Goose Island IPA
Hoegaarden
Lagunitas IPA
Paulaner Hefe-Weizen

Shiner

Love Sierra Nevada DB, it is my go to summer beer. I haven’t seen any of those you posted, I must be too far east.

I have really been a fan of Founders here in michigan as of late, their Dirty Bastard 8.5% ABV, Porter 6.5% and Breakfast Stout 8.3% are pure heaven. You won’t be drinking a lot of them to get hammer though, they drink more like a meal except for Dirty Bastard.

Try some Stone. Great Beer.

agreed. anything german for that matter

I like this. It’s one of your hot day beers.

Stone, Southern Tier, Great Lakes, and Dogfish Head are my favorite breweries.

Stone: Arrogant Bastard, Double Bastard, Russian Imperial Stout, Ruination IPA

Southern Tier: Pumking, Imperial Choklat Stout, Creme Brulee Stout, Iniquity Ale

Great Lakes: Christmas Ale, Nosferatu, Blackout Stout

DFH: Burton’s Baton, Raison D’Etre, Midas Touch, 60/90/120 Minute IPAs, Bitches Brew

I had this in the Minneapolis airport and really liked it. I must admit, I like refreshing, easily consumable beers.

I also had a Blue Moon there with an orange slice in it! That was great.

Stone beers are great.

Great Lakes are amazing, in the spring they have Conway’s Irish Ale > Christmas Ale.

If you can still find it, Blue Moon makes a really good summer beer. Look for the yellow packaging.

One of the best IPAs I’ve ever had

Awesome wheat beer, can be hard to find

Japan makes awesome beer

Ginga Kogen Beer, my favourite Japanese beer by far

Love this beer in the winter. Seriously strong, but complexity of flavour handles the alcohol well and it balances out the smokiness.

I concur.

However I love a Black and Tan closely followed by a Snake Bite

Hell yeah.

Stone is opening a beer garden right next the park where we go. I picture a lot of after sled dragging carb ups.
