Best Alpha Male Quotes

Here’s another one from Winston Churchill that’s damn hilarious. He said this after a woman told him he was drunk.

“I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.”

"A real man is not he who says, ‘my father was…’ ,
A real man is he who says: ‘Here I am, Behold!’ "

“The value of a man depends upon his courage; his veracity depends upon his self-respect and his chastity depends upon his sense of honor”

I though that was W.C Fields. They do look alike.

if you confont all your problems you’ll never live to tell the tale, if you flee all your problems you’ll never have a tale to tell.

“With a donkey’s jawbone, I have made asses of them. With a donkey’s jawbone. I’ve killed a thousand men.” - Samson, after killing a thousand men with a donkey’s jawbone.

It’s probably a mistranslation, but I prefer it to the other translations.

From the great Tug McGraw when asked what he did with all the money he earned while playing baseball:

“90% of it I spent on whiskey, women and gambling…the other 10% I wasted.”

That was a Winston quote, one of his best.

Let’s see… assuming alpha males are not only men with tastes of blood in their mouth:

“To know and not do, is not yet to know” - Zen saying

“I haven’t failed, I’ve found 9000 ways that don’t work” - Thomas Edison when a journalist asked why he didn’t give up after making 9000 failed attempts at making a lightbulb

“All the men who died in battle will be replaced after one night in Paris” - Napoleon Bonaparte

“I’m a slow walker, but I never walk back” - Abraham Lincoln

And by Napoleon Hill I could mention a million. Altho he’s a writer and not a typical alpha male, I’ll sneak in a few anyway:

  • “There are no limitation to the mind, except those we acknowledge”
  • “Faith is the elixir that gives life, power and action to the impulse of thought”
  • “No man is ever whipped until he quits in his own mind.”

“It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence.” Gandhi

Fortune favors the bold

…the easy availability of women to sleep with on the road “screwed up” his sex life back home. He then talks about one (woman) a day not being enough, so that he then went on to two or three a day, then two at a time, then two women with toys, then watching two women having sex. ?Then I?m supposed to go home and make love to my wife? Ain’t no way."

-Jake “The Snake” Roberts

OK Here’s one:

My freind was working as a plne sign dude…yes the ads planes drag in the air back in the 80’s. Anyway there’s a cable you need to keep tight through the turns and Jay’s was not tight. The pilot, in his Air Force voice says…“Jay… keep it tight, what you go there is a limp cock, and a limp cock ain’t good for nothing!”

After a tough kettlebell training session, I changed into my gi for a jiu jitsu class. Both were taught by Steve Maxwell. After some drilling, we started to spar and I was lagging a bit from fatigue.

Even though he was the one responsible for torturing me w/ kettlebell and bodyweight exercises, he asked, “Rob, you look like you have that Chinese disease! Draggin’ Ass!”

May be some one can help me with this but I believe it was Benjamin Franklin or Thomas Jefferson. But it is referring to writing letters. And he say’s “I would have wrote a shorter letter had I the time”.

“i’d rather carried by six then judge by 12” Anrea Brown

Er, shouldn’t that be “I’d rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6?” ie, I’d rather kill the fucker myself and face justice than let him do me in?

thats how Anrea Brown said it , me personaly i’d rather be dead then do life

i think it has to do with the judgement of oneself by others is inherently at flaw.

I never got that one. [/quote]

I thought it was I would rather be tried by twelve rather than carried by six I thought Gordon Liddy said that

Back in college I was walking into my building and passed a group of about 4 kids (probably my age at the time). As I’m passing the desk and flashing my building key, I see a penny fly by me about waist level. Without thinking( I’m ussually one to brush stupid stuff like this off), I pick up the penny, walk back over to the group of kids and ask “is this any of your’s?”

This was followed by a 2-3 second pause, some mumbled denials as I looked at each kid in the eyes, and then me walking away 1 penny richer.

Come on, you sons of bitches! Do you want to live forever?

GySgt Dan Daly at Belleau Wood

Gone to Florida to fight the Indians. Will be back when the war is over.

Colonel Commandant Archibald Henderson, USMC in a note pinned to his office door, 1836

A SSgt at USMC OCS said “If you don’t drink water you’ll go down as a heat casualty and die, and I’ll be glad.” Or something to that effect…

That same SSgt saw a candidate spitting on the ground during the first platoon run of that increment, and he summarily flipped out and told the candidate “This is hallowed fucking ground, been training Marines to fight and die in combat since before you were born. You don’t spit on the damn deck.” Again, to the best of my recollection.

My daddy always told me “Never to be talkin’ when you should be fightin’.”

I’m sure there’s other good ones in my brain bucket, I’ll post them if I think of them.

My fathers sleep on the sunrise plains,
And each one sleeps alone.
Their trails may dim to the grass and rains,
For I choose to make my own.
I lay proud claim to their blood and name,
But I lean on no dead kin;
My name is mine, for the praise or scorn,
And the world began when I was born
And the world is mine to win.

Gandhi said that? Context?

Almost forgot to add a Chesty Puller quote:

Don’t you forget that you’re First Marines! Not all the communists in Hell can overrun you!

Col. Lewis B. “Chesty” Puller at Chosin Reservoir
