Benching w/ Legs Up, Not Floor?

Perfect form.

Let me guess…he doesn’t know why he’s not growing.

Or worse yet…he thinks he’s already huge and simply needs to “work on his core”.

The belt. Why ?

Dude - he’s throwing up 2-0-fucking-5. How can you make fun of that?

Sometimes I bench with my feet on the floor. Sometimes I bench with my feet on the bench. It usually depends on how my back is feeling. On days with back pain, it hurts to put my feet on the floor.

But then again, I use a suicide grip.

Suicide grip + feet on bench + unstable bench = a shitload of fun on chest day.

You’re doing it wrong.

Looks like 185 from this side of the Mason Dixon line…

I thought feet up was the way real men bench? not those fat ‘powerlifters’ who practically bench with their legs.

I keep my feet in the air when i bench, and so should every bodybuilder. We make sure we bench with our chest, not our feet, you idiots.

Don’t forget about the “push your shoulders forward and off the bench”-part so that you can get a better contraction in your pecs.

Yeah.

(I have the feeling that some people will actually end up doing this.)

I like doing flutter kicks while I bench press. It makes me much more athletic. Sometimes I’ll do some crunches at the bottom of the rep too… SIICKK SHITTT

btw C_C did you get that PM response?

Yeah, I was typing up my response but got distracted (My dog tried to steal a slice of my Pizza… And the bastard actually managed. Soon he’s gonna weigh more than me if this keeps happening).
Forgot to actually finish my response after that and just shut down the pc.

Basically agree with all you said in there man.

Lol cool

I admit I have done this…this was because my feet couldn’t reach the floor on the bench I was using. (I don’t anymore!)

I use both styles when appropriate. i get more pump with legs on bench, but more stability when legs on ground. thats of course if i dont stumble on my cassock. Excellent combo!!

hey father, does the church have a problem with your bodybuilding? how often do you work out?

not at all. i workout in the ymca of aventura.

No, no, no!! The barbell is FIXED! – He’s actually pushing the floor DOWN

The reason he’s not growing is because he gets up in the middle of the night to down some protein. The lost 3 minutes of sleep is fucking with his growth…

Just bumping the thread because I didn’t come across it before.

I myself have benched with my feet in the air for the past 3 months and am now at 230lbs for 3x5… with a 1 second pause on my chest… weighing 185

To me if I get stronger benching with my feet inthe air, this means I get a lot stronger with my feet onthe ground.

My usual way of benching is with feet on the ground but I want to get 250 3x5 before I go back to my regular bench pressing

Putting legs on the bench did nothing for me but make me feel off balance and throw off my bench strength, therefore giving me worse of a workout for my pectorals and triceps, which is why you do bench?!?!

Wanna build up your core, lift legs hard and do squats. Plain and simple. Stabilizing your whole body while trying not to mess up and injure yourself is not the same as working stabilizer muscles involved in a lift IMO. I see no apparent benefit to this lifting style even with an objective opinion.
