Benching Question

alright when i lift 120 my reps are 2RM, i want to get up to doing 2 X 10. since i have my bench and everything at my house would it be okay to lift 120 once every 30min-hour all throughout the day? would that help me get my reps up?

It sounds like you would burn yourself out.

Check out Vroom’s beginner thread, you sound like you need it.

id say the approach can work if you have the time and also I wouldnt strat with your 2rm thats VERY close to trying to do a max effort numerous times a day every day. drop the load a little. sat 110 or 100 strat with one rep throughput the day aim for 10 + reps find something you can stick with. do that for a week or a few days at least, then go up to 2, then 3, always going well short of failure.

think of it much like someone who works labor for a job they do stuff like that all day 5 days a week. Youll want to limit the pressing movments in your regular workouts though to well little to nothing and be sure to get in plenty of rowing and external rotation.

Couldnt do you bad give it a go if it spurs interest.

actually yes ive been lifting 120 once everytime i walk past my bench pretty much and its in my room so thats a lot. and yea its worked, im doing one set of 5, one set of 4, one set of 3 and then i stop or maybe do another set of 3.
