You are my soul mate!!! LOL I did this too, and I get STILL get shit about it to this day. I did broccoli and tuna shakes though lol! You are the only other person in the world that I know that has tried this. I once tried tuna + brown rice, but that was the GROSSEST thing I have ever done. It was like a tuna smoothie

here’s a thought…you could just EAT the tuna and brown rice. seems to be less trouble than blending it.

…sorry for the slight hijack but I just saw pepto-pro being mentioned. Has anyone found a healthy way to make that stuff drinkable? I have unflavoured and it is EASILY the worst thing I’ve ever tasted… I’ve tried mixing it with recovery shakes, paletinose all sorts of stuff…
peptopro, orange juice flavor with a little stevia reduces vomit taste combined with some man-ing up.

Have you tried eating tuna before? I imagine it would be much easier to slug in a shake mixed with some juice. No way in hell I’d do it though hahahaha.

Hey paragon, what was your split like during that training cycle?

I work out 4-5 times a week. 2 days on, 1 day off. Sometimes I need an extra day of rest after, e.g., a very hard leg workout.

I first did an accumulation type of training cycle on an 3way-split:

 • chest / back
 • shoulders / arms
 • legs, core

After that I switched to an intensifcation type of training cycle on a 4way-split:

 • chest / back
 • legs / core
 • arms
 • shoulders / core

I do one cycle (week) of deloading after 6 increasingly hard workouts. That’s the way I workout 85% of the time, I’d say.

I will switch to Thib’s I, Bodybuilder routine as soon as possible. This will be a strengh based program. Very much looking forward to it!
Paragon,
I really like your application of cluster training into a regular split. My question is when do you Deadlift? I can assume that you squat on leg day, but do you do clusters for Bench Press and Deadlift on chest/back day, or is it another day? Awesome job with the progress man, keep it up.

This is the second time now I have heard of a low cal day once each week to “reset” the body’s anabolic response to protein. I’d love to hear CT’s thoughts on this - is there compelling research?

BTW, major lifts up ~15 lbs, bf down slightly with a really bad version of the protocol…basically just switching the post workout shake to pre. I have fresh stretch marks in my armpits from the rate my shoulders are growing.

6’3" 245 ~13%bf
Dead 475
Squat 475 (not ATG)
Bench 315+ (not tested)

I deadlift on chest/back day. I do clusters of both bench presses and deadlifts on that day. It’s pretty hard, but I had no problems recovering from it. I started with just one cluster of 5x1 on BB and DL in the first week of the intensification phase. These are my first two exercises. I do 3 exercises for each chest and back.
Last week I did 3 clusters of each exercise.
Squats on leg day, of course.

When I was 18/19, my training partner and I did “training camps” during summer holidays (that’s 5 weeks in Switzerland).
We just trained, ate and slept something like 13 hours a day…
Sometimes we were so full we couldn’t even think of eating solid food.

The most disgusting shake was an occasional after-workout lunch shake: half a litre of whole milk, a cup of cottage cheese, a can of tuna, a cup of vanilla ice cream, additional milk powder and several scoops of MegaMass2000 (remember that?), water.
This gave a huge shake we more or less just downed in 20 seconds and then we went to sleep.

Good old times… wouldn’t want to repeat, though…

Hi CT,

If one were to implement a “protein pulsing day”, and consume 8 servings of CH (12 grams each serving + leucine) as their only protein for the day, how low in total carbs, fat, and calories would you suggest for that day?

Would the following be “enough” to maintain optimal bodily functions, as well as prevent catabolism?
**I realize everyone is different, so it would have to be adjusted (not the amount of protein) possibly as you go.

This for someone who currently is:

240 lbs.
8-10% body fat
Former fat boy, but has fairly high insulin sensitity due to being in the 3-10% body fat range for the last 3 years. Lowest was in the low 3’s and the highest was about 10%, but NEVER over

120 grams carbs from fruit (15 grams per meal)

75 grams fat (including 8 Flameout per day, 2 taken at every other meal)

Total Calories: Around 1500 (training days the average caloric intake (including para-workout protocol has been consistently between 3500-4000 per day…consisting of: 400 grams protein, 275-400 grams carbs, and about 90-100 grams fat on each of these days)

Do you think this is too low in total cals compared to training days? I know this is the point of these days (more specifically to avoid “protein synthesis blackout”), but just curious if this would be a good starting point.

Like you, I am crazy passionate about training, and can’t stand competing in bodybuilding competitions. I competed once (3 years ago, after dropping down to 220 lbs. from 300 lbs. in 6 months), and actually won the heavy weight division in the Mr. Minnesota competition…but it just wasn’t for me.

I’m 100% natural and am looking to maximize my true genetic potential.

Thanks CT for your generosity and time.

some off the old guys in the gym i train at told me back in the day they use to have a tuna milk and egg shake and a banana and sardines one as well.

i dont think i could do it LOL

around how many calories do you consume on thurs(low-carb)?

Ive never posted anything on here, so to start off I’m going to talk about how excited I am for the release of I, BODYBUILDER and Anaconda. Reading the article and watching the video along with it made me realize two things. A) this is one of those times where I sit and think and continue to sit and think until both I, BODYBUILDER and Anaconda are released ,about how I would kill to use and see results from the program and supplement, hell if i have to hunt down Thibaudeau and ask for just a little taste of the hopefully soon to be released masterpiece that is Anaconda. And B)How I hope that the release date gets here before I lose my mind, get online and make legal steroids a multi billion dollar corporation by buyng and downing so much D-Bol that i walk around with more muscle mass than the clydes dale in the picture printed on the front of their bottles.

But then when reality starts to settle in and i realize I’ve been chewing on the same piece of fish for over an hour, I say to myself “patience is a virtue,” then continue to wash the dish that i have just drooled and dribbled chunks of fish onto while going into eye ball bursting convulsions in the heat of my thought process. However even though I now suffer from serious stomach pains and anxiety I want to thank TMUSCLE for making this break through and I cannot wait to try it. And for everyone else awaiting its release, you better go through with it so that Biotest makes money worth their while off of Anaconda and has no reason not to sell it.

Im off to the Gym.
