My Overkill shirt is coming soon!!!, will post review, super psyched about the shirt.
You should like it, everyone I know that uses it loves it.

You can only get Overkill shirts from the guy that makes them, his name is Rudy (he also makes the TP-5000 knee wraps). He used to train at Frantz Gym, but now he trains at Jakked, I think he’s going to have a website up sometime in the near future, but as of now the only way is to get in contact with him in person
his name is Rudy, you can order from rudy@overkillstrength.com
I made the switch from a boss to the overkill and finally got my 600 bench in contest ( 675 in the gym)… it feels like a rage x that stretches more but gives much more pop… and a little more forgiving groove… they are all made to order ( rudy takes a bunch of measurements)… they come super tight and take some breaking in, but once you do they are really nice shirts… most are 2 ply but my wife uses a single ply to bench mid 200’s ( at 132) and I have seen a few guys do 2 ply chest with 3 ply arms… only one or two guys using the 3 ply shirts and I couldn’t imagine how they do it. My three ply overkill briefs are so heavy I couldn’t imagine trying to bench in that heavy of a shirt…

Has anyone here tried the Metal Ace shirt yet?
The guy who owns my gym has an Ace, hates it.
He’s a WPC World Champion (Masters 55+ Bench Only), British Record holder etc etc. He’s a pretty accomplished bencher, even now in his early 60’s (I think) is benching around 155/160 in the shirt (kgs, so around 350/360). He couldnt get a touch in it, very very stiff material. He’s gone back to using his Pro Bencher.
He’s used literally every bench shirt on the market, as bench only is his thing. It’s a choice for him between and single ply Bash or a Pro Bencher. I think if he could handle more weight, say 400+lbs, he’d get on with the Ace much better.
I’m sorely tempted to buy the Ace from him and keep it around for a rainy day. I dont need a shirt that good yet, but if it’s just sitting in the store room doing nothing, then I might as well.
I’m pretty sold on getting a Bash Pro next (the double ply) to replace my single ply Viking Presser. Anyone used this shirt.
I plan to compete in powerlifting and have heard a lot of great things about metal gear. Specifically the metal ipf bencher and metal ipf v-type squatter.I am completely new to shirts/suits. would this gear be too advanced for someone new? (stats : 5’6 165 bench:255;squat : 345;deadlift 365)Thanks

Single ply Metal gear is vastly inferior to the new Titan stuff. Anyone i know who’s used really tight Metal gear has either had it blow out or become unusable thanks to stretching in a very short period of time.
Thanks Hanley. I will do some more research on titan gear.
I going to preface my thoughts about the APT Apex bench shirt by saying Iâ??m not a bencher. Iâ??ve competed in powerlifting off and on since 1984 but never used a bench shirt until 2007. Earlier this year I totaled 1465 @ 220 in single ply but only posted a 300 bench. Also, I have had multiple rotator cuff surgeries on both shoulders and had to have a triceps tendon reattached in 1999. My best ever raw bench was 376 back in 1986. My best recent raw bench is 255.
April 2, 2010 â?? Received my Apex bench shirt from APT today. Couldnâ??t wait to get home and see how it fit. My first impression is that the chest panel is tiny.
I put the shirt on with my wifeâ??s help. It is very tight across the chest and shoulders but loose in the arms; guess its time to work biceps.
April 5, 2010 â?? M.E. bench day with Matt Christie and the rest of Iron Nation BB at the new Body by George training facility. Matt thinks the shirt looks a lot like a RageX.
Close grip 3 board 315x2x3
335x1x2
No board
3655x1x1 missed lost the groove on the way down
Shift is very explosive out of the hole. If I can bring my lock-out up and increase my speed out of the hole Iâ??m sure I can hit 405 in June. Some bruising along my triceps and delts. Wife is wondering if Iâ??ve taken up S&M.
April 12, 2010 â?? M.E. bench day reverse green bands in the monolift set all the way up.
Close-grip
315x1x1 missed not even close to touching
365x1x1 missed about an inch from touching
405x1x1 almost there
455x1x1 the weight touched. I was so surprised that I didnâ??t explode out of the hole and couldnâ??t lock-out
365x1x3 two good reps then I got sloppy and missed the third. Matt said it was because I didnâ??t reset after the second rep.
My tris and the back of my delts are still showing bruising from last weeks workout.
April 18, 2010 â?? M.E. bench day
Matt and I are screwing around with the shirt trying to get the perfect jack that will let me touch with a weight my beat up shoulders will let me lock out.
Close grip 2 board
315x1x5 â?? Flared my elbows out of the hole on the third rep and it felt like the shirt was going to dump on my head. Weight was light enough that I recovered and finished the set with no problem.
325 x1x5 â?? Basically did this as 5 singles. Recover and reset after each rep.
No board
335x1x1 â?? Perfect single. Had to pull the weight down but it shot up on command like 225
355x1x1 â?? Good lift but no speed at all. Took forever to lock the weight out but I made it.
Iâ??m overcoming my fear of the weight ripping my shoulder out. This shirt gives tremendous shoulder support. Iâ??m stronger that I have been in 25 years. Actually hit 225 for 5 warming up without even thinking about it. My CNS adapts, my confidence grows and I get stronger every week.
I absolutely love this shirt. The other shirts Iâ??ve tried have been uncomfortable to the point of distraction but not this one. Iâ??m bruised up but not in pain. My final thoughts are that the Apex is a great shirt for someone with shoulder problems or a beginner that is new to lifting in gear. Iâ??m not qualified to say how it works for the people that have monster benches but for the first time in my life I can see the possibility of a 500 bench.
I heard on one of the other forums that Inzer has switched the material in the SDP and it now stretches out WAY faster than before. One guy said he bought one earlier this year and compared it to a bungee cord, saying it stretched, stretched and stretched some more, with very little pop off the bottom. Anyone buy one recently and experience this?
Male. Age 33, weight around 175-178.
PR’s : “All time”: 265 Incline Bench Raw/no belt. Current: 233 Flat Raw/no belt.
Never used a shirt before.
Got hit by a car on my bike a couple of years ago and have been rehabbing for a while. Got into Highland Games and Strongman last year but suffered from a back tweak about 4 months ago and have been pushing for 3 solid months.
Looking into competing sometime this year and was wondering about shirts.
Spent a good 6 months re-tracking my press to alleviate shoulder pain. For the most part I bench wide and flat. No arch here. I shoot for a controlled press that lowers around nipple level.
From the research I’ve done I think that the TItan Fury might work for me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

I’ve heard this too, honestly IMO I would go with a major pimped out Rage-X, or an Overkill, the 2 best multy ply shirts out there right now
hey fellas got a quick question. Couple guys at the gym have the metal king and metal ace pro bench shirt and have a fuck of a time touching in it. I was looking at getting the metal bash bencher, does anyone know if its easier to touch in that then the pro and king?
Stats: 5"11" 220 lbs.
Best Lifts: Squat: 495, Bench:345, Deadlift 495
Gear Experience: Very Little - This is my first bench shirt.
Equipment being reviewed: Titan F6 (Single Ply) sz 50
Pros: Without knowing anything about shirts, I put this on and immediately put 30-40 pounds on my bench. After reading other reviews of gear, I was worried about how the shirt would react - but I found it to be very predictable. My pressing groove remained the same, and I found that it seemed to provide carryover regardless of how I set it up. Keep in mind that I don’t really know what I’m doing - my first few times wearing the shirt I was trying to see how different adjustments affected the movement or carryover. I was pretty happy to see that there was some margin for error.
Going from raw to geared has shown me that my lockout is really weak, so I know that as I work that up, I’ll be able to get quite a bit of carryover out of the F6. The bar moves with good speed until about half way up, so I know that as I strengthen my lockout, my weights will climb.
Also, I’m able to touch 255lbs, which I think is pretty good. It allows me to work in the shirt at lighter weights and warm up before hitting up the heavy weights.
Cons: The only downside to this shirt so far is the humbling knowledge that my lockout sucks.
Comparison: None - my first shirt.
Thoughts: Happy with the F6. I’m still breaking it in, I have about 25 total reps in it. By the looks of things, It’ll last a long time before I need to worry about replacing it. Of course, I’m not using heavy enough weights to really wear it out yet.
The shirt cuts up my arms just outside of my armpits, but it’s not a deterrent.
I was worried about being able to get into the shirt by myself, and it’s totally doable. It takes me about 3 minutes to get it all set up and I’m ready to go. I did buy the shirt in a larger size, though.
I just got a Super F6 (Made of Katana Material) in a Size 48 and there is no way in hell that I could get it on myself. It took 2 guys with a ton of experience, about 40 minutes and work on a 3-board just to get the thing seated all the way up on me. Just an FYI on tightness. I actually had to ROW 365 lbs. down to a 3-board for the first 6 reps. GAIN SOME WEIGHT! =)
The more I train in this shirt, and the more I see what other people are doing, the more I wish I’d ordered a smaller shirt to begin with.
How do you feel the Super F6 compares to the standard F6? That would be an awesome write up…
I was running a Karin Klein double denim before this Super F6. The only other experience I have with poly are the super old school Inzer Blast Series shirts, so sorry I can’t make a comparison bro. BTW…I’m pushing somewhere around 242’s…and running a size 48, so I’d imagine that shirt is RIDICULOUSLY loose on you. I just tried boiling a pair of inzer power pants the other night, maybe I’ll drop you a PM and let you know how much they tightened up. Might be worth doing to your shirt.

I have experience with both. The Standard F6 is very easily broken in, I competed with it in a size 50 (1 size smaller than normal) within 3 weeks and benched 485. After 2 months I noticed I wasn’t getting as much pop out of it so I moved on to a size 52 Super F6 (F6 w/Katana Material with reinforced seams, neckline, scooped neck and back)by Ken Anderson with www.Andersonpowerlifting.com
The difference was very noticeable, almost what you’d expect the difference between a single ply and double ply shirt to feel like. I have been in it 4 times and still have only been able to hit a 2 board and i’m having to use substantially more weight to get there which means this shirt is going to take 6-8 weeks to really break in. I expect once I am able to touch i’ll be able to put 40-50lbs on my PR by using this shirt. The super F6 is definitely not a beginners shirt, the Standard F6 I believe is. I initially bought the Super F6 in a size 50 and it is just impossible for my size to work with, its hard to bench when your arms look like a praying mantis. I moved to the size 52 and I have just enough room to get my shoulder blades pinned together and locked on the bar properly.
For the record I am 285lbs and my chest measurement is 55, shoulders 62, arms 19. Previous meet PR in Standard F6: 485lbs. Super F6 training PR: currently working to the chest but hit 635lbs to a 3 board with hanging average bands.
