bench press and wrist pain

PUT YOU THUMBS AROUND THE BAR BROTHER!

Snook, you must not have read my post. It can and will roll out of your hands. I dropped your max on my chest and I was just doing my sets as usual. Hurt like hell too.

And ya, bone poked through the skin…NASTY. That’s a lotta weight bro.

Hey chris if it fells like the bar is rolling or spinning in your hands i bet you money your benching with a warped piece of shit bar…if you have to bench wiht the bar…wear wrist wraps and get your self some chalk and really chalk up the bar it will keep it from spinning so much…thanks for the kind words…bm

Chrisr,

I was thinking of your post this morning while benching. It’s normal to have your wrist canted back slightly – as long as the center of the bar is inline with your forearm, you’re okay.

You can test out your grip by pushing horizontally on a bar (say the saftey pins in your power rack or whatever) and seeing how different wrist angles work.

Chrisr
You’re bent row strength should be more or less on line with your bench. It seems to be ok. And at least you are training horizontal pulls.

I really appreciate all the advice. Thanks
