It appears to me that your arch sucks.
It looks like on the 405, you brought the bar down a hair too low. But I suspect that the biggest problem with the 405 was it was just heavier enough to miss.
Get a lift off at the start. Makes it easier to keep a strong arch. And keep your feet planted.
I just think you need to get a bit stronger man. Spotter lifted the weight pretty fast, but you weren’t even at midpoint when you failed. 385 was pretty smooth. I’d say really go after it now that you know where you are, set up an 8 week bench cycle that’ll give you that 20lbs (it is possible) and do everything you can to get it!
Your form looks alright, elbows are tucked, if your spotter could hand off that could be better to keep you retracted nice n strong. Other than that I can’t really say much, form looked okay…really try to push your feet in the ground as well.
I’ll wait for the big big benchers to add more to it, but overall I think it looked pretty good…it WAS a max attempt of course and everyone should keep that in mind, some people look a little more shaky than others when maxing on the bench.
Anyways that’s all I got, keep it up you definaetly got the 405 in you…plug hard at it for a couple months and take it!

Interesting. As in not enough arch? I arch as hard as I can, but thats something I can definitely work on.
I know on the 405 attempt, as I unracked the weight my right foot slipped and I had to pull it back in. That felt like ass.
Its possible my ass is coming off. I feel like I keep contact but I could definitely be wrong.
