Did some front squat wrist stretches on the bar. I can barely hold a front squat position for 30 seconds with 60kgs on the bar. Wrist/forearms are definitely tight as shit. Shoulders are probably tight as shit too.
Squat
60kgs x20
I honestly forgot how hard high rep squats are. The weight is light for me. It sure as hell didn’t feel easy, by the last couple of reps, I was feeling numb in my left hand and overall fatigue. Looking back at the video, it looked easy as heck. Sure didn’t feel that way. Will start doing more high rep squats. High rep squats to combat that there mental weakness?
Pressed 60kgs for a single just to see if I still can. I can.
Squats
Uh well… Nope. Did 65kgs for a single and could feel my hamstrings still are off. I guess that sorry excuse of 20 reps the previous session really did have an effect on me.
Dumbbell Curl
12.5kgs x3x10, rested <60 seconds between sets
Press
20kgs x5
40kgs x5, pressing doesn’t feel as intuitive as before but that’s probably because I barely press nowadays anyways.
50kgs x3
55kgs x1
60kgs x1
65kgs x1, speed looked fine but left shoulder started twitching a bunch. No pain though.
70kgs x1, and that’s a new PR folks. Probably just the gain in bodyweight and excessive amount of benching. Weighing around 79-80kgs now.
Haven’t been able to hit the gym the past week cause apparently… Spiders bit me(several places) and I’ve bit of an infection which is causing me a tad bit of discomfort and stuff. Pretty much done with the antibiotics now so things are much better.
That being said though, I’m enlisting tomorrow so y’all probably won’t be hearing from me much anymore.
Took 5-6 minute rest between the working sets, simply too damn worn out from the stomach viral infection/PT during the week. That and it was just overall kinda hard.
Squat
75kgs x20
Pretty satisfied with myself for getting this considering I haven’t exactly been squatting much at all.
Man, the video of me doing this sure looks horrible. Plus the rack is fucked up, can’t be adjusted so I basically have to do a full squat just to get it out of the rack.
Weighted Pull Ups
10kgs x2
Was supposed/wanted to do 10kgs x10x4 but it started raining(pull up bar is outdoors) after my 2nd rep so I figured l’ll just leave. Wasn’t feeling too good on the pull ups anyways so I figured, might as well.
I’m currently going through the PT phase so not much actual army-ing. Just a bunch of running, calisthenics and marching drills etc. Overall, I do enjoy the lifestyle. I decided to deliberately drop bodyweight 3 weeks ago. I’m currently at 75.8kgs, gotta drop down to low 70s to make running easier (on my shins).
At 7AM, Bench
20kgs x10
40kgs x5
60kgs x3
70kgs x3
77.5kgs x6x6
took my own sweet time between sets, just gonna think of it as active recovery
Squat
60kgs x5
85kgs x14, didn’t get 20
Lower back on fire, decided to pussy out and call it quits. I think I might have a route march sometimes this week, on top of the damned PT test this coming Wednesday.
Weighted Pull Ups
15kgs x10x4
3 minute rest between sets except for the last set, started raining so rushed it
At 7AM, ran 2KM, was supposed to be 5KM. Twisted my ankle cause a bike almost ran into me. Tried to run a little more but figured I’ll just call it quits and rest.
AT 7:50AM, Bench
20kgs x10
60kgs x5, weights nearly stapled me
70kgs x3
82.5kgs x2x5
Was supposed to do 82.5kgs x7x5 but I felt pretty much fried so I figured I’ll just call it quits
Skipped squats cause right ankle still felt twisted, weight all pushing towards the right side of the feet.
At 6:40AM,
“Warm up” jog of 1KM in 4:33.54.
Walked a little before starting 4 sets of 2 minutes on/off.
Wanted to do 5 sets but I just couldn’t take it anymore. Mind weak, gave up.
slightly later at 7:25AM, Bench
20kgs x10
60kgs x5
70kgs x3
80kgs x1
82.5kgs x7x5
Gotta use a narrower (close grip by the average person’s standard) grip instead of my usual grip, too much stress on my wrist.
Bench was hard, butts was constantly off the bench. To be fair, it’s a pretty short ass bench, it’s like 3 inches below the base of my knee cap. I’m suspecting my drop in bodyweight (80-ish kgs to 73kgs) has at least somewhat changed the mechanics of my bench.
Squats
60kgs x3
85kgs x20
Honestly, that was hard as fuck. Lower back was just screaming for me to stop.
Wanted to do weigh we pull ups but I was running late for lunch and stuff so I’ll do them later.
