Probably morbid obesity at that. Obesity isn’t hard to hit if you have muscle/a certain type of frame.

No wrist wrap, got a lift off for the last 2 sets.
wanted to squat but all the racks were taken so nope
Maybe if I were to keep this up, my bench might be half decent someday haha. Really happy with my progress thus far.
Keep up the training. Simple but focused efforts on a few lifts with other shit peppered into the mix on occasion. It looks like you’ve had an “a-ha” moment.
Sounds about right. That and I probably understand myself a lil better now. I’ve realized that I pretty much cannot bench once a week and make any decent amount of progress. Frequency seems to be a key driver for me in a good amount of my lifts. Benching carries over to the Press pretty well for me but vice versa, not so much.
You’re like me in that respect. Minimum twice weekly benching, and it carries over to pressing ok but not the other way around.

130kgs x3x2, I’m like 90% sure I did 3 sets but it’s possible I did 2 sets instead. Kinda hard to keep track when it’s 6 different people sharing on/off.
Ez Curl Bar
no idea how much the bar weighs so I’m not including it
20kgs x3x10
annoys the forearm a bit but overall still doable.
Dumbbell Curl
12kgs x10
14kgs x10
Seated Cable Row
did 150lbs for several sets of whatever, can’t be bothered to think about it, let alone write it down
So uhm, the usual gyms I frequent weren’t open so I went to a public gym. It was pretty damn horrible. Lack of plates, clueless people and even clueless banter bout them roids.
They were speaking in Mandarin but I’ll translate what I heard into Singlish since I’m 90% sure they can’t really speak English English anyways.. Two guys in their 40s, let’s call them Guy A and Guy B. Guy A doesn’t look like he can bench a plate. Guy B, well… I saw him bench a plate and a half and it wasn’t pretty.
Guy A : Eh bro, you sure clen can be used for bulking a not. That’s not what (some other guy) told me. He told me must use the… I think it’s called tren or something.
Guy B : Aiya, you don’t believe me than follow his advice lor. Just use both, you want cut, you want bulk, doesn’t matter. Confirm will work one.
Guy A : Oh ya hor, good idea.
So yeah, they were talking about that pretty damn loudly at the sign in area, in clear view(and volume) of the gym staff. Kinda a surprise to me that your run of the mill neighbourhood old man knows where to get roids too.

Finished everything in uh… under 30 minutes, for sure. Pretty sure the timing was 12:20 when I entered the gym so if I ain’t wrong, finished this entire thing in 16 minutes. Gotta say, I’m pretty impressed with myself. Hah.
The magic of good lighting, shadows and whatever. Hah. Looking as if I might actually lift. Maybe. Gosh, you wouldn’t believe how brainwashed most people I know are. They’re like… Oh, you go to the gym? How long have you been going? I’ve a friend who has been going for maybe 2 years and he looks like this. proceeds to show me their friend who competed in a physique comp and placed
Maybe, everyone has that one friend who is just genetically gifted in terms of muscle insertion and muscle building ability, etc.
You’ve added thickness up top for sure.
Hey, just wondering, how are you programming your benching at the minute? I really like the look of it.
Uh well… it’s literally something that no one would recommend. Ever. I’m actually running Smolov Jr for bench, back to back to back to… You get the idea. Obviously, I set the numbers way lower than my actual max and use reasonable increments. So… Yup.
Ah yeah, I’ve seen a few people mention doing it for bench with good results. How are you holding up with it?
I started on 18/1/2018 and I’ve ran 3 (or maybe 4) cycles of it. I went from from a shaky 90kgs for 3 reps to 95kgs for 10 sets of 3 reps.
To be fair, a lot of it is probably just adaptation and “strengthening of my wrists”.

So much on going for an AMRAP at 140kgs. That being said though, I wonder if this has anything to do with how the plates were loaded. I had a 20kg plate and 4 10kg plates per side. Some ass hole was hogging all the plates for his below the knee rack pull.
Or maybe I’m just tired from the daily running. Whatever.
Any thoughts guys?
