Sometimes being a little injured and/or tired helps…
The hook — i spent this last week training a bit lighter due to nagging shoulder/elbow/wrist issues and tried some variances in exercises and technique. i had no set: X sets Y reps Z amount of exercises preconceived, i simply experimented w/ where i felt movements, methods to get a great pump, etc. it was refreshing…
I love training and as much as not being 100% sucks the week was great, i felt rejuvenated.
being injured is humbling but it’s a good teacher and helps you to pay closer attention to the details of a movement. Big injuries suck, i’m cheerful because i’m on the mend and my issues were minor setbacks. i’m learning that if you want to train for 10-20yrs you better check your ego and be an active listener to oneself.
