Beginner Westside Program ?'s

Big martin. How far back on the Box should you sit. Just the edge of your ass. or all the way back so that the box is touching the middle of your hamstrings? Also, I am definetly gonna up the weight and sets on DE day. Should I also do this with Bench, or is this strictly recommended for Squats? I will look into the Briefs. When do you recommend adding in Grip work? Also, is there ever any kind of Twisting/Olbique work for Ab work. Obviously I could add it in, but just wondering if there was a preferred Westside movement. Thanks again.

you should sit as far back on the box as you can, you want to feel your hamstrings stretch maximally as far as you can and push out with your kness and then flex off the box…check out the pic on t-mag in the dave tate box squating article,…keep the dynamic bench % to 60% dont go much above this…grip work i dont do much grip work, like jim wendler says when people ask him what is the best way to get a better deadlift grip - “DEADLIFT”,… oblique work do as much as you feel you need, i usually have athletes do more twisting work than powerlifters but i usally do about 6sets of oblique work a week usually with a 40 pound med ball,
i have also tried to do the landmine exerscice and will add it in more often, i also sometimes do very heavy side bend for low reps,…big martin
