Beginner Questions

Hey every one, I have some questions regarding supplementation and pre and post work out nutrition.

i just purchased my caffeine pills, I already take creatine HCL, BCAA’s, and Pre work out.
I have a feeling that i am a non responder to creatine, I gained little to no weight, felt a bit fuller, and just a minor strength increase which could have been placebo.

I work out at around 6 PM or 330 PM I track my calories and have healthy eating habits.

  1. Should i stop taking pre and just use the Caffeine pills?
  2. Will the caffeine pills interfere with the creatine?
  3. What is the best thing for me to take in pre work out to prime me?

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with these, I don’t want to waste time on creatine if I don’t have too.

  1. You probably don’t need the pre-workout stuff, and caffeine is a personal preference. I prefer to have a short black before training, but I just like coffee anyway.

  2. No.

  3. You don’t need anything to “prime” yourself. Just concentrate on getting your pre, peri, and post nutrition right.

And creatine works, and it has a few other benefits such as its good for your brain etc. Keep taking it.

By preworkout, I’m guessing it’s some sort of drink w/ protein and carbs? Keep it.

I don’t know, but their effect will wear off as you get used to them.

If you’re a rank beginner: carbs, protein, and maybe a little fat.

Okay, It was only like $6 so i just thought id try it.

This is where i need help, I am unaware of what peri is and what it can do for me.

Someone needs to explain to me what a “non responder” is!!! If you gained little to no weight, what makes you think it’s the creatine? How’s your diet? Healthy eating habits is not answer. If you are not gaining, you are not eating enough.

You keep saying “pre-workout”. Exactly what is it?

If you need (< important word here) something to prime you up, your overall diet needs to change.

You are blaming your supplements for your lack of gains. Why?

Creatine does what it is suppose to do. Just stick with Monohydrate. Stop buying flashy supplements.

Try Biotest’s creatine malate here or krealkalyn a lot of people swear by creature also
