So a little about me, Im 44 year old male that is literally in a get fit or lose the ultimate game type scenario. While growing up I was super skinny, for example when I joined the military at 22 I only weighed around 120lbs and stood at 5ft 10". I could eat whatever I wanted and it stayed that way till my early 30’s. After that the years of never watching a diet, never even thinking about what I ate caught up to me. Long story short, I was skinny and fat and skinny and fat. My main way of losing weight, just stop eating and I mean it. I would eat maybe a Pop Tart with 2 cups of black coffee, then it was just black coffee.
Ive always wanted to be a big guy and always admired the dedication.
My main problem has always been just leaving the house. I love working out and find it really helps with some of my personal issues as well. But I always feel super out of place in the gym and my lack of lifting experience doesnt help that. Ive always wanted a friend to workout with. Someone to help hold me accountable, Im hoping this log will help make me accountable to myself.
I currently dont have many weights at home, I do however have a concrete boat anchor that I have tied a rope through the loop on top and use it for curls. I also found some cheap 5lb calisthenics weights that I use as well for some stuff.
My current workout…
Mon, Wed, Fri
3x 20 curls single arm at a time. I also really concentrate on not letting the weight swing
3x 20 forearm curls with 5lbs
I know I should do more but with my limited room and limited weights at least Im doing something. Been doing this now for almost a year with no change in diet and mediocre results. Again I hope I can help keep myself accountable through here about the junk food I eat.
If you cant afford weights or a gym membership and still want a challenging way to train then check out Chonglords You tube

Plenty of ways to use body weight workouts to train really hard. They might not get you jacked like heavy weights will but they will definitely kick you ar$e.
@BeefSupremez With limited room you might look for a used set of Bowflex adjustable dumbbells. My daughter has my set, but they do save space. Also set of Rogue bands might be useful. A 20 lbs. kettlebell (one would do) might also be useful if you have the room to do swings. If you are stronger, then a 32 lbs. might work. Swings will get your heart going and build muscle. I do full body workouts. With what you do not have, as stated above bodyweight exercises are good . You might try the following?
Wall Sits, followed by deep knee bends
Atlas Push Ups
Chair Dips
Take a towel, if you have a very solid exposed pipe, pass the towel underneath it, grab each end and do isometric curls.
I cannot remember the title of the book, but if you would like, I can hunt it down and it has workouts using 5 lbs. dumbbells that Sandow used. I do not have the attention span for the workouts, but I have seen demos on YouTube.
That is about it from me. Keep us up to date on whatever you do.
