Agree w/ Paulie. Cottage cheese is nasty, IMO. To make it tolerable throw it in a blender with some vanilla, water, cinnamon, splenda, and peanut butter. Tastes kind of like peanut butter pancakes.
don’t you think it funny that every trainer will eat every 2-4hours. but then we can allow between 6-12 hours without caring?
at the moment my training is good diet i alright but going to introduce carb cycling and focus more on bedtime nutrition.
Firstly I count how much protein I’ve eaten for the whole day. Then I’ll top it off with whey. Whey is the cheapest protein source for me. Meh gotta save money somewhere.
Even before I started tracking my #s, I knew enough to use this as my staple pre-bed meal:
Cup of cottage cheese,
Scoop of Protein Powder, (I prefer the Banana Met Drive, but Vanilla gives a nice cheese cake-y flavor)
Half cup of Cashews,
a little cinnamon, and a bit of Splenda
Moosh it all up, grab a small spoon (the real dieting secret of WNBF Pros everywhere! -lol), and dig in
I’ve been liking turkey, ezekial bread w/ grass fed butter, and some eggs before bed. The extra triptophan probably doesn’t hurt the sleep cycle either.

Man, how do you eat cottage cheese in it’s natural form? That texture makes me gag.
Try Trader Joe’s brand. It’s very smooth and practically textureless! I used to gag down the traditional chunky stuff too. Always willing to force feed something that has benefits outweighing the inconveniences, but if there’s an alternative, definitely take it!
Used straight casein powder for years, then stopped(forget why). Immediately started sleeping better, and magically didn’t waste away, so I’ve never gone back to it.
My favorite bedtime meal is a mixed green salad w/vinagrette and a dozen almonds, and a berry greek yogurt with ground berry flavored flax seed ( tastes like pie!) That with ZMA and I sleep like a rock and never wake starving.
