I want to assume it took Clip that long to get a chance to reply. You know how work gets in the way and there’s not always time to post? Makes as much sense as any other reason.

About 50% of the time I don’t notice that they’re so old until I read the first post. I was really bummin’ to see this was close to a decade old as I won’t recognize a lot of the folks commenting on that hot fire OP.

Yes…Dempsey was 187 pounds I believe in that fight. A man around that size who has a big punch can hurt any man of any size.
I think the biggest difference is Jess showed up to box and Jack showed up to kill.

And that Willard was more of the big, lumbering type. Now if that were Lennox Lewis in there who was the same size as Willard, but much more skillful and harder hitting, it wouldn’t look good for Dempsey.
